Mari! :)

My eyes fly open and I smile as I watch her deftly make her tea.

Good Morning Mari i hope your day goes well?

I have the day off thankfully.:rose:

*Turns at the friendly greeting a smile lighting her face*

Yeisha!! Oh .. that sounds good ... my day is hectic ... but yes, going very well thank you ... I just needed ... refereshment ... and got side tracked by answering a story which has been puzzling me for a while now ...

*ggls*

I'm looking forward to what my co-writer makes of THAT.
He's not the only one who can throw a curve-ball into the story ...!
I hope you enjoy your day of leisure ....

Thank you Mari :rose:

I owe a post ...perhaps I shall try and write.

I wish I could write as effortlessly as you seem to be able too.

Far from effortless ... I do collaborate closely with my co-writers to try to craft a story that we both enjoy and I have enough stories on the go to be able to await inspiration ... perhaps that is the answer ... ?

I still owe cravon a post ... I should get to that soon ...

:rose:

Maybe its the collaboration I need.Mari. I defiantly couldn't handle several threads.

Sometimes I feel that I write in a vacuum of sorts.

You know..I post a reply and rarely receive feed back and so never really know if I am hitting the mark or not. I just hope mostly.

* shrugs*

Well at least I am writing again:)

Collaboration makes all the difference ... I am very lucky with my co-writers:

Fun and I communicate about our stories all the time.
I have 3 with DanFS who I have known and written with for years and love 'talking story' with him.
The same is the case with DeathsKnight.
I have also written with for years with Lucien Divine - who I think you know also ...
Arctic Avenue is a new co-writer, but very collaborative and of course there is cravon who is a joy to plot and plan with ... and an amazing storyteller ...

I think longevity helps and knowing people well, but it's always fun to write with 'newbies' and discover their talents - ie. cravon and Fun before him ...

There are others I write/have written with, but communication and feedback is key - I write for my co-writers and usually forget there are there other people out there reading along ... that's my motivation anyhow ...

:rose:

Wiping the sweat from my brow I pour myself an iced tea.

The day is becoming oppressive with air that you can wear. Thankfully I have only another hour or so and all the wood will be stacked and put away.

Yeishia I have always found you to be a creative and talented writer.

Mari you my dear are a very sensual writer that work with their co-writer to bring out the best in them.

I flop down in my chair to sip my tea and relax for a moment or two before returning to my work.

Thank you Cg ... I have to admit that I was reading through my threads with L'Ombre de Bois and Angus last night ... they are very special stories and I did love writing them with you ...

That does sound wonderful Mari.:rose:

Mari it terrifies me approaching new writers.

The last time I worked up the courage I was told...that my writing style was too flowery for his taste. I would have loved the change to adopt another writing style but wasn't given a chance even. I had thought my romantic style and his more abrupt style would have made a perfect marriage for my Priest thread...pain & love.

smiling I blush more

Ah well it is what it is :D

Thank you Sir * lowers her voice* I think I would prefer to be a sensual writer over being a creative and talented one. The later bores my co writers as well you know.

I smile sheepishly

I am trying my status as a writer is a work in progress, a very long one I am thinking.

Blushing I move behind the bar for a second cup of coffee.

Would you like a refill and perhaps a splash of B&B, CG

Then that person was rude and ignorant and not worthy of your attention and effort yeisha! The issue was his not yours ...
I do get approached by some new writers, but the way I get to write with new people is by posting to the stickys at the top of the forum with an idea / premise and then go carefully through the offers I get ...

You should pick someone you're comfortable with perhaps and see what story suggests itself to you ...? There is no question of your talent, yeisha, it is just finding the right collaborator to fully appreciate what you have to offer and who is willing to contribute equally.

*hugs*

Thank you Mari I shall certainly take your advice to heart. When I first came to Lit it was easier to approach others. I guess after my long absence from writing I have lost my confidence some what.

I might do the sticky thing and see who might be interested in my Priest idea.:) it will be a departure for me and so I really need a cowriter who knows his stuff or is willing to put in the research.

My advice yeisha - for what it's worth - is to ask interested writers to send you a sample post or outline of how they see their character or plot going or some such.
And don't pick one straight away - give it time ... be selective... THEY have to impress YOU!

Speaking of out I have plans for tonight :) and guess I should go wash my hair it take hours to dry.

* impulsively gives Mari a hug* thank you for listening and for your valuable insights. :rose:

*A white circle slowly draws itself in front of the fire place, then 4 lines start to draw themselves in a intricate pattern inside crisscrossing each other till there are only bits and pieces of the wood floor still seen. The circle starts to glow the lines soon fallowing as a soft breeze flows around the outside circle, blowing napkins and making the pages on a book near by flap lightly. After the final part of the pattern lights up it starts to snow upwards from the circle, and only inside the circle as the small white orbs seem to float up like snow. The wind around the circle picks up a little as napkins start to get blown off the tables not far from the circle. A single paper thin line of white light shoots up from the center of the circle and stops about 6 foot high. A soft almost chime like sound is heard and the white line that goes into the air starts to melt outwards, but never losing any height. Soon it takes the shape of a human made out of white light stands in the circle. A bright flash and the breeze stops and everything goes back to normal, other then me standing there where the human shaped white light was. And all of this happened in the matter of a few seconds*

Hmm new teleportation spell seems to work =D
Hello everyone how are you today?

*Walks over and flops down on a empty couch near where I had teleported in.*
