Heh. Everyone seems to have a friend that's obsessed with the Doctor. Even before I started talking with the aforementioned fangirls I had another friend that was super into the show. She's actually the one that got me into Doctor Who in general, actually. I just tend to prefer the older episodes myself. Less shipping, more fake looking yet awesome aliens.

Depends on how old you're referring to. The first season, for example, was pretty painful to watch. I happen to like all of the Doctors I've seen so far.
