The superhero you would most like to play in a thread

I hope they don't have Harlequin in the next batman movie. Not that I wouldn't be thrilled to see her in live action, because it just wouldn't be right to bring her into the franchise without also having the joker in it too, and since Heath Ledger is unable to reprise the role even in a cameo capacity. So much of her is tied to him, he has to be in it with her, if they're going to do her, but if they did Harley and Joker it would be looking backwards to the Dark knight instead of looking forward to this third film.

Right now I don't know who or what's going to be in the third film, but I just hope it isn't Harley without the Joker.

That's a pretty good choice there Veroe. I'm still a little stumped as to who I'd really enjoy playing as. I think more research is called for.

Thank you, it made me wrack my brain there for a second.

Mostly because I'm still a Scott and Jean fan than Scott and Emma, but Emma fits Yeishia better than Jean.

Oh and good luck on your research there buddy. Can't wait to see the results. :)

Interesting choice Veroe.:rose:

I would not mind giving the role a shot in a non comic book role play of her Hellfire Days.

:D She's been made into a much more complex character in the last ten years or so. Im a Scott and Jean fan, but I thought her relationship with Cyclops was a very interesting one.

Though she's still alot of fun in her Hellfire days.

My understanding of The Dark Knight Rises is the female villian is Talia al'Guhl, with Tom Hardy playing a police officer who gets twisted by Hugo Strange into someone to just hunt Batman.

Though Nolan is of course very secretive about his projects. Though Tom Hardy being turned into a Bane like character via hypnosis/drugs by the demented head of Arkham and teaming with Talia to take down Batman sounds pretty interesting to me.

*grins* I shall have to pass then, it would hurt my eyes to much to do all the necessary research to do her justice. Comic books were never my thing.

*Lowers her voice*

I have never read a single one in the real world.

I'm sure that, as usual, most will disagree...

but Christopher Nolan movies are fucking terrible.

Care to elaborate on this opinion?

Batman Begins was the stronger of the two Batman films, but still, it suffered from a horrible casting mistake (Katie Holmes) and bizarre pacing. The pacing is a problem typical in Nolan's film (The Prestige in particular) and something he's never had much finesse with.

The Dark Knight is an awful film. Truly. Awful. Film. The plot is so chopped and clipped that it becomes a blur of bad scene changes. Action. Out of place dialogue. Action. Out of place character exploration. Action. Over, and over, and over with very little actual transition. This film would have been almost unwatchable if Heath Ledger hadn't been so amazing in it. He is, for me, the -only- thing captivating about the entire film.

The Prestige was so slow in parts that I forgot what was supposed to be entertaining. It's one of his better movies, though.

And Inception was his strongest and most creative film until the end scene, where he lost faith in his own writing and left the ending open in order to be "clever". However, it's very clear in the way the film is cut and filmed that there is no way that the events that took place were just a dream. For one, there are many scenes between characters in the film where Leonardo DiCaprio's character isn't anywhere to be found. If the film was based on the presumption that he was dreaming he would have to be in every scene. He's not.

That last shot in this film absolutely baffles me. It's cowardly, first of all, and completely -NOT- in touch with the rest of the film's ending. It's as though he was headed towards the happy ending, realized that might be perceived as corny, and gave himself a tricky out. It doesn't work.

His films are terrible. They aren't Michael Bay terrible but they are terrible none-the-less.

Inception spoilers follow:

If the film was based on the presumption that he was dreaming he would have to be in every scene. He's not.

This is a false assumption on your part. The beginning scene with Saito is in his dream. He's not in every scene. Cobb has that whole scene where he first tells Fischer he's dreaming in the hotel. That's Arthur's dream and he's not in every scene. He spends the whole thing sitting on a bench until they begin to set up for the next dream.

I think you're taking this a bit too seriously. I don't disagree that endings that basically end with "The end... ?" are silly, but I thought this one was well executed. I agree that the whole film seems setup in a way that makes it hard to believe he's dreaming. The last shot makes you think and question everything that happened instead of just blindly accepting it all. If you wanna believe the top fell a second after the screen went blank then by all means do so. I've read some interesting theories about the possibility of everything being a dream (such as Mal being right about everything still being a dream when she jumped from the balcony, and actually waking up at that time, spending the entirety of the film being the only person who's real, trying to save Cobb from limbo). It was fascinating to see how people can interpret everything beforehand from such a simple few seconds.

This is really an overdramatic way to put it. I actually didn't like The Dark Knight either. I thought it tried way way too hard to be gritty and "real", the action was very poor, the moral dilemma of the ships being completely absurd with an unrealistic outcome, and the whole fact that for a Batman film it surprisingly lacked.. Batman. Despite these things I don't think it's a terrible film. Overrated? God yes, but not terrible.

The Main Man - Lobo

Tough as nails, not as popular with the ladies as he wish to be and has a crush (which he will never admit to), he loves dolphins and he is crazy. Yeah that kinda sums up why I like him.

I did the little questionnaire that Yeishia posted and I turned out to be the guy that you do not want to make angry, because there is aspects of his...ah screw it. I'm The Hulk according to that link.

They've confirmed that Catwoman (played by Anne Hathaway ) and Bane will be in the movie.

And I could not remotely play him in this forum, but Darksied is easily my favorite villain. I fell in love with him watching the Superman animated series and kept reading about him. I haven't had the fortune to read many comics with him, but he is easily the most impressive super villain I've ever seen.

"I am many things, Kal-El, but here...I am God", great line.

I like this Supergirl. One of the best, in my opinion. I think the tan lines are so sexy! Makes me just want to see where else they lead. ;)
