The Treehouse of the Cove

Walking in happy to finally be home here at long last. Looking around for you looking forward to time away spent with you. Walking into the kitchen and slipping arms around your waist.

Hello lover..

Welcome home, Beautiful.

I say as our fillet mignon gets seared on the stovetop.

Peering around your shoulder.

Mmm filet mignon... Maybe I should fix some tropical salad? Maybe a nice sangria?

That sounds lovely.

You'll find fresh salad fixings in the fridge. I went to the store on the way home from work.

Slipping over to the fridge and taking out all sorts of fruit. Then moving to the little wine fridge and pulling out a nice Chianti. Cutting up strawberries and mango and preparing coconut and papaya putting most of the fruit in a bowl lightly tossing it before mixing in watermelon and various berries. Then putting some strawberries raspberries and coconut into the pitcher before pouring the Chianti over it and smiled. Then sneaking out a surprise I had boxed up in the fridge and opening it. Chocolate covered and cheesecake filled strawberries and raspberries.

So dine in the tree house or nice picnic on the beach?

The Fillets are almost done here.

I look over to you smiling at the scene of domesticity happening between us.

Those salads ready yet?

Yes the sad and Sangria is ready now answer dine in here or on the beach?

Keeping the dessert surprise innocently hidden.

Well...we haven't eaten on the beach in a while, but on the other hand we could easily get sand in our food there.

Which do you want to do?

Well... We could enjoy candlelight dinner in here... I really kinda like that idea...

Smiling and slipping right up to you with one of the strawberries.

I smile at the idea.

A candlelit dinner sounds very romantic. Its perfect!

You'll find the candles in the cupboard, darling. I'll start fixing our plates...oh and a few fresh flowers from outside will make the whole tableau complete too.

Finding a few candles and collecting some of the tropical flowers growing near the kitchen balcony and an antique vase and got it all ready.

Well now which room love?

The balcony would be best. We'd have the stars above-which are spectacular tonight-and the breeze coming in from the cove as we dine together, love.

I finish fixing our plates and begin carrying them over towards the balcony.

Come on, beautiful. We don't want the steaks to get cold, do we?

Of course not.

Setting up the flowers and the candles hoping the breeze won't make us have to keep relighting them.

I lay the plates on the table on our balcony.

Above the night sky is breath-takingly beautiful. The sounds of the birds and animals in the trees around us was a serenade for two lovers hungry for food and companionship.

Turning and hugging you close with a tender kiss before we sit down.

I have missed you... Missed us... Like this.

I bask in the sweet simple kiss and your words.

I've missed this as well.

I pull out your chair for you like a gentleman for you to take your seat before lighting the candles. The gutter in the breeze but the flame like the two of us are strong and hang on, burning bright as I take my seat across from you.

Smiling across the table at you. The filet mignon smells wonderful love... Let's eat.

Reaching to pour us both some of the Sangria.

They do smell good, if I do say so myself.

I smile at you accepting the glass of sangria you offer me.

I hope I cooked yours to the perfect level of doneness you like. Fillets are tricky things to nail for me just right for some reason.

Smiling.

I always love your cooking darlin.

Taking a bite of the filet.

Perfect...

In turn I take a bite of the salad.

Excellent work yourself, beautiful.

Looks like we're just going to have to accept the fact we're pretty good cooks.

I lift my sangria in the air.

Bon apatite.

Cheers lover...

Lifting the Sangria.

We are very good..

Cheers.

I drink the sangria and lay glass down on table. When you set yours down my hand reaches out to caress over your fingers.

Well let's dig in, darling.

I pick up my knife and fork and begin eating my fillet.

Eating some salad and filet with a smile. My fingers linking with yours e joying the moonlight and soft breezes and you here wih me.

So how's your new thread idea going?

I say smiling to you with some small talk as we eat our suppers.

I remember it looked interesting.

I have two of them now and it's falling into place somewhat.

Smiling reaching a hand to gently touch your cheek.
