The "We Love the Lit Ladies" Lounge

well yeah, every individual is connected to a person with feelings, and a past, and a life. etc. etc.

thats kind of what makes it lame for me. imagine if your daily social routines resembled the atmosphere of the ampic section.

would be fucking terrifying.

In a very primitive way, it does. It's all about trying to connect to someone in one way or another, whether that be through desperate means or not.

Well, this has died the death of a thousand deaths it appears. Oh well, all good things come to an end. But just to see if there is any life left in it at all, I will post a question.

Is anyone interested in existential philosophy, and if so, what are your thoughts on how existentialism changed western thought and its movement into our contemporary culture?

Hehe, thanks KMD. I don't have time to watch it now, but I will certainly give it a watch later tonight. Out of curiosity, could you show me how the math works on the many universes theory in quantum physics?

It's the existential philosophy scene from Waking Life, if you're familiar with it.

I'm not exactly sure what kind of math there is involved with the many-worlds interpretation. It's just sort of the idea that when something "indeterminate" happens, instead of everything being in one linear universe where the possible outcomes exist in quantum superposition until observed, it says that the universe branches off and every possible outcome occurs (even though we're just following one branch each time in our perception of reality). I think the difference is more philosophical and a different way of viewing things instead of a fundamental difference in how things behave, if that makes any sense.

dude that was classy and eloquent.

you totes scored some points for sure.

loved this coment

am pics is a forum for pics and feedback on those pics, hense the title Amateur Pic Feedback  there are plenty of other forums for idle chit chat and inane childlike banter, such as this one, the playground and the General Board, though I would expect you lot would get eaten alive in there

Conceptually, I think I have a pretty firm grasp on it, but I can see that there would be a lack of math involved. Personally, this is the theory from Quantum Physics that made Augustine of Hippo's concept of soft determinism make sense to me.
