Things that piss you off?

Why is it so difficult to find decent children's white dress shoes?

My second-grader has a little music program at school tomorrow, and while it's not a super formal thing, I do want her to look nice. I found a really cute blouse and skirt that aren't too formal, but I had trouble finding decent shoes.

Her everyday shoes are obviously too casual, and the school has restrictions on the types of shoes that can and can't be worn. No slick-soled dress shoes, no open-toed sandals, and no flip-flops--they're (understandably) considered inappropriate for playground wear. I finally found a nice pair of closed-toe white leather sandals.

And WTF's up with high-heeled and platform shoes for eight-year-olds, anyway?

i understand not being able to find shoes.my daughter is 18 months old and i swear it's not like im looking for anything fancy.id have to say walmart has the worst selection for toddlers.

ugh. i feel ya there. the farmers here mostly all use chicken shit (the liquid stuff) to fertilize. i'm pretty much numb to that smell by now though.

Yeah, it is pretty pungent, fresh from the farm on the 100+ degree days here.
Ahhh, summer!

by the way... chimney is a TWO syllable word. it's not chim-in-ey. k? k.

quoll... i love how you can always start my day with a laugh. :D
thanks buddy!

btw... did you know that in my state they passed a law making it illegal to hunt over the internet? i'm no hunter and i could give a shit but it's interesting. there's a website where you can buy an opportunity to control a gun at a remote location. when the game animal is in its sights you give the command to shoot and the animal is shipped to you if you kill it (or something like that). talk about lazy rednecks.

Potential business idea No:2

my son is pissing me off bigtime. we heard through the grapevine that a girl that he is friends with asked him to go to the prom. his response to her: let me think about it. WTF kind of response is that?

so, it was time for a father/son discussion (read: lecture followed by the third degree) about respect for other people, and in particular respect for women.

I found out that he has no plans to ask anyone else to go, isn't waiting for anyone else to ask him, and "wouldn't mind" going with this girl. He also has committed to going in on a limo. So WTF is he waiting for?

I think I might have finally got through to the baseball fanatic when I told him it appeared he was acting like a free agent waiting for the best offer to come in. So step up to the plate and do something.
good advice..sometimes you have to break it down like that to get through.
