Personally I put spoken words in double quotes and thoughts in single quotes, but many people don't like that.

The last version of CMS I saw seems to have set out deliberately to confuse readers by recommending no quotes!

I could have said it better myself Snoopercharmbrights. Although the only other thing is that quote formulas from research papers done in italics because it looks similar to Latex font style. In the specific case of the alternative is to post your quote as a picture (*).

*Note I mention this b/c I don't think literotica .php code is compatible with Latex format or any what are called "math fonts".
