LOL Mine is DO NOT pick the other person if YOU are the ONE suggesting it. It amazes me how many guys (and I'm sure women too) can't see their hypocrisy around this sort of thing. Slightly off topic, but I had a boyfriend who I was negotiating a non-monogamous relationship with (which, I know now, should never really be a 'negotiation', but rather a discussion). He said it was OK (yes, another red flag), but had a list of 'needs' that made it almost impossible for me to see anyone else, or at least without it being a huge hassle.
