good morning in the new year...I've been up for hours getting the new years meal ready. Had to make some of the traditional "good luck" dishes like mochi, daifuku...sigh...no sushi or sashimi as I couldn't find the freshest ingredients.

You make homemade sushi? My daughter loves sushi and even bought her own sushi making set with a mat, chopsticks, wasabi and water bowls, seaweed sheets (my fault I cant remember what the real name of them is) etc.

Do you have any tips or links to good sites she can look at?
She started with sushi, now she wants to be a chef!

Oh and HAPPY NEW YEAR! MJL, BT and Kitten! (throbby too, when or if he shows up today!

One wall is covered with those huge windows made up of smaller square ones. The kind that tip in an out if you want them open. I can hear horns and street noises from way down below. Ohhhhh. Black metal fire escape too.
