True Love

I can't remember

So, what was this thread originally about?

Wasn't it about lust at first sight?

Oh, by the way.
Have fun storming the castle!

How long does it take for you to be truly in love? Can you find yourself in love in say... less than 2 months?

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Just askin'. *bats eyelashes innocently just like KC* (yes dolly, I'm a copy cat. )

Yes, i have fallen in love in a two month timeframe before.......but it took constant contact and sharing of our very souls to build the bond of trust that slowly evolved into love.

Yes...i have experienced love at first sight too.......until she started talking and i determined we had absolutely nothing in common! ;)

But she was a great fantasy until i got to know her!

I'm not saying that is wrong or anything. If it works for you I'm all for it.

For me however, pity has usually lead to really bad places with bad people and abuse.

Still, I think I see what you mean and I believe that can be a lovely concept.

I'm an assertive (as opposed to being a dominant or a submissive) and I don't put up with being ordered around, insulted, or anything like that, nor would I accept being asked to make someone else's decisions for them. So, no need to worry about abuse in my personal case. :)

P.S. I recommend the movie The Hallelujah Trail as a cowboy movie somewhat similar to the Princess Bride. :nana:

Ok, 1 last quote from the movie, then I'm done :D
(For those that haven't seen the movie... Fezzik is played by the late Andre the Giant, Vizzini is played by Wallace Shawn and Inigo is played by one of my favorite actors... Mandy Patinkin)

Vizzini: I've hired you to help me start a war. It's a
prestigious line of work, with a long and glorious
tradition.

Fezzik: I just don't think it's right, killing an innocent
girl.

Vizzini: Am I going mad, or did the word "THINK" escape your
lips? YOU WERE NOT HIRED FOR YOUR BRAINS, YOU
HIPPOPOTAMIC LAND MASS!

Inigo: I agree with Fezzik.

Vizzini: OH! THE SOT HAS SPOKEN! WHAT HAPPENS TO HER IS NOT
TRULY YOUR CONCERN. I WILL KILL HER, AND REMEMBER
THIS, NEVER FORGET THIS: WHEN I FOUND YOU, YOU WERE
SO SLOBBERING DRUNK, YOU COULDN'T BUY BRANDY! AND
YOU! FRIENDLESS, BRAINLESS, HELPLESS, HOPELESS! DO
YOU WANT ME TO SEND YOU BACK TO WHERE YOU WERE,
UNEMPLOYED, IN GREENLAND!!!

Inigo: That Vizzini, he can fuss.

Fezzik: Fuss, fuss...I think he like to scream... at us.

Inigo: Probably he means no harm.

Fezzik: He's really very short on... charm.

Inigo: You have a great gift for rhyme.

Fezzik: Yes, yes, some of the time.

Vizzini: Enough of that!

Inigo: Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?

Fezzik: If there are, we all be dead!

Vizzini: No more rhymes now, I mean it!

Fezzik: Anybody want a peanut?

Vizzini: DYEEAAHHHHHH!!

I got started a bit late... I had company stop by this morning. But it's on here now!!!

I'm all the way to Miracle Max. I still have this movie memorized. Husband and I are finishing the lines together and cracking up.

"There's a big difference between mostly dead, and all dead."

Fezzik: You be careful. People in masks cannot be trusted.

Good sig line material. LOL

I'll be glad to watch it again with you guys. It's such a great movie.

Until I can go back to work and/or get things fixed, I'll be around here. However, I've gotten in more golf and more fun stuff this last couple of months than I've done in, I bet, 2 years. I guess there's something good to say about that. ;-)

You should wear that hat when you go to tea. You have the coolest avs.

I made this one like I did my Charlie Chaplin AV. Found a pic I liked and then photoshopped my face over it. I had a great Mona Lisa-Me AV and lost it somewhere.

I love doing that stuff. I especially love using myself in my AVs.

 Thanks for the compliment.

Very welcome. I remain, alas, avless.... Maybe I'll use one of the puppies I got right now.

I have to thank RJ. He's helped me find some of the AVs I've lost or were unable to access, like this one.

I need a hobby. I started painting again this week. Watercolor. It's been years since I took that stuff out and used it. I'm a bit rusty, lol. But so far, I'm happy with the few things I've done. Should scan one and show it off sometime. I usually worked in charcoal and pencil, when I did anything. (That hand AV is on top of a pencil work of mine.) It's an old theater house in a little town near my hometown in Wyoming. It's since burned down, so I'm glad I did that drawing.

You have puppies? What kind and how many?

Oh God, one of the best smells in the whole world is puppy smell!!!

I foster puppies for the rspca, and this week they gave me four shepard mix puppies for a few weeks. They're about 2 and a half weeks old right now, so I'm bottle feeding them. I'm probably keeping one of them though.

you can send one to me too. :)

Well that's true love, if there ever was any. I love puppies!!! You lucky fella.

They are just darling and I bet they smell soooo good.

They're great. It's funny watching my two cats take care of them! They sleep with them, wash them, get underfoot when I'm feeding them.
