I know I objected to the initial statement by RS, but after hearing the details, his statement is confirmed.
This was an amazing operation with our armed forces and law enforcement demonstrate their expertise almost.flawlessly.
I am still not clear about the outcome the President wanted here, but the execution across all levels was amazing.
Kudos to all teams involved.....that makes me proud to have such dedicated forces ready to deploy wherever they're needed.

I think the desired outcome is fewer illegal drugs being shipped into the US. I'm not sure that ousting/arresting Maduro is going to achieve that in either the long or short run but the overwhelming amount of narcotics coming from there needed something done about it and this is what Trump chose to do.
The illegal drug trade is a crisis that affects every nation. It's fueled by people who believe, because they partake in it in some fashion or another, that it does no harm. Yet we can clearly see that it does a great deal of harm. Not only to the people ensnared in it, but to other people who are oppressed by ringleaders and traffickers as well.
