It's our long weekend, Victoria Day / May 24, the unofficial start of camping and BBQ season. Mother's day was quiet around here, everyone had places to be and a lot had been going on and I just wanted a nap so this weekend they made it up to me, we had a really nice bbq today, last night we did the family movie night and after they set fire to my old computer chair they gave me a beautiful executive one for my home office. Now the rest of the stuff in that room looks like crap but I have a chair I can nap in! If I die I'll still be propped up at the keyboard

Happy Monday!!! Yep, next weekend is the three day event. Seems to me that I have something to attend next weekend, too. So it's back-to-work today. We should be just about out of demo work to do by the middle of this week. Maybe the roofer can start at some point soon. I also have to call the tree guy. And we have the weekly meeting this morning, too - if I can get on it. Last week was a fail. We'll see.

My ass is dragging this morning. Don't know why... maybe the shitty weather. It's been cold and rainy since november. 'sposed to be warmer this week, so we'll see. I need to get out and chase the little white ball around for a few hours.

Here. No weasels. I'll give them another hour and then call them. They do have a 4 hour drive to get here. I also have the weekly call here in 45 minutes. I wonder if my lame-ass wifi connection will let me connect this week. It epic failed me last week.


I was checking out an article about "child-proofing" firearms. Like child safety caps on pill bottles. That seniors can't operate. But children can, even blind kids without fingers. The rhetoric was as mind-numbingly contorted as a thread on the PB. Feels good, talks shit, not possible, and totally disingenuous.


If they know so little about something they want to bitch and whinge about, how much can they know about anything else???

Another movie that Wat has yet to see. He was probably doing something silly, like working on his car/truck or shooting his "assault rifle."


Finally got into the weekly meeting. The regional manager brought up the floor demo. I assured her that it's on the plans, and after the meeting, both the boss and I checked. It is. So here's hoping that that dead horse stays dead. Hey, if there was some direction from some wheel that changed the situation, it would have been nice to be clued in.

Happy Tuesday!!! Slept kinda half-assed. It's that waking up bit in the wee hours and not getting back to sleep. The big girl was snoring, so that was amusing.


Slow day at work today - no weasels. I'll go to look at stuff and to talk to the management woman. The one whose boss has knotty knickers. We'll try to get those knots ironed out today.


Coolish for the rest of the week, and warmr next week, like Summer is arriving. I reckon that I need to test out the a/c this weekend, just to be certain.

Peaceful outing. All is quiet on the coastal front, thanks be to Allah.


Dr. Tyler's Favorite Son has decided that something's wrong since he hasn't heard from the good doctor today. So he's making a dramatic ride to see what's up. Wat offered to do it after lunch, but that wasn't soon enough to embrace all of the drama.


Watch her be at a doctor's appointment or the like and not have tooken her phone.


Hey, gotta eat. Sometimes I get hungry enough to get skeert.

Long weekends are nice but have you ever noticed when you walk in on Tuesday there seems to be even more work piled up and waiting for you? It's like you get penalized for the extra day you worked your butt off at home for free.

I have had that feeling for decades. There is a special kind of punishment for holiday Mondays awaiting the worker on the Tuesday afterward which makes it, Tuesday, by far the worst Monday of the week.

Happy Wednesday!!! Sleep was a bit of an adventure last night. No matter, what was available was had. Cats are fed and the josh is lit.


Little warmer today, and a little cooler tomorrow.


There be 21 refrigerators coming today. I don't need them yet, but we bought this batch here to assure that we'll get the balance when we want them and in the product we want. They got too big a fridge, and the old people will grouse about it like they'll grouse about the new dishwashers that they will get, too. Dishwashers required by the lending partner.


This is all post-coffee, so who cares yet??

Here. Passed a drywall contractor's van on the way in. Turns out he was coming here. Hmmm, he's a bit early.


Heard from the fridge boys. They're on the way. The connex is open and ready. A veritable yawning chasm. Willing and waiting.

It's good that your workers at this job show up and in a timely manner, don't knock it. I'm sitting here waiting for the truck that was supposed to arrive at 6 am and their office has me on hold, it seems to have disappeared and the driver is presumed asleep.

I've been researching electric bikes. I think I'm about to pull the trigger on one but they are fairly pricy and I'm not sure I'd actually use it.
