Happy Sunday. It'll be another pleasant autumn day. Got the coffee made, the cats sorted out (as much as that is even possible), the laundry under way, and the shooping list is mostly written. Kitten is investigating something fascinating.
Meanwhile, I'm looking for the bottom of this-here coffee cup.
The worthies of past ages all sought the truth and did not deceive themselves. They were not like moths throwing themselves into flames, destroying themselves in the process.
Praise be to Allah for inventing the leaf blower!
Kudos to blessed Buddha for providing the gasoline!
I curse the god who bequeathed us annual frozen Winter Hell!
I used to have a philosophy well-grounded in Gaia-guided nature, before Gaia was hijacked and held hostage by environmental wackos and Communists. I've lost some faith in it as well as all the gods and buddhas...
The Dog's Philosophy
Take a sniff.
If you cannot eat it or fuck it, piss on it.
There's a spot of blood on the dryer, so I begin to wonder which cat is bleeding. My wager is on the new black cat. Girlcat bangs on him some, and she brings it when she hits. And she's the biggest cat in the house.
I don't think that Allah quite understands winter. He may be the god of Glowball Warming.
Back from shooping. A bit of Impulse Buying and forgot one thing. If was in the Iffy Category, as in, we probably have enough to make it through until next week.
That was the same story for coffee, too, but we made sure to buy that, in case there's some Impulse Drinking.
I had a little Sorrow,
Born of a little Sin,
I found a room all damp with gloom
And shut us all within;
And, "Little Sorrow, weep," said I,
"And, Little Sin, pray God to die,
And I upon the floor will lie
And think how bad I've been!"
Alas for pious planning —
It mattered not a whit!
As far as gloom went in that room,
The lamp might have been lit!
My Little Sorrow would not weep,
My Little Sin would go to sleep —
To save my soul I could not keep
My graceless mind on it!
So up I got in anger,
And took a book I had,
And put a ribbon on my hair
To please a passing lad.
And, "One thing there's no getting by —
I've been a wicked girl," said I;
"But if I can't be sorry, why,
I might as well be glad!"
I did a bit of shopping too and stopped by work as I travelled to grab more ink and paper. She is determined and from what I can see it's all review for her so it won't hurt her to go over it.
No coffee is needed here, we did need fruit, bread milk, and cheese. I swear this is a house of rats with how much cheese we go through it.
I've been motoring through cheese myself here of late. I add it to things I made and I make sammidges, too.
I went to the box store to get a couple of tidbits for the task list here. I also shot some spray lube on the plugs and headbolts on the old car I dragged home 3 weeks ago. One doesn't just toss a wrench on those and commence a'pullin' without breaking stuff. The head is 69 years old, aluminum, and is all but unobtanium.
Patience will be rewarded. I need to deal with getting the good parts off an older Toyota diesel that is only 36 years old. Lots of penetrating oil will be required.
Happy Monday!!! Kinda crashed early and was rewarded by waking up early. Damned Kitten knocked a cookie sheet full of magnetic refrigerator words off the top of the fridge. Best guess is, she jumped on the fridge, missed a bit, grabbed the pan and dragged it with her as she fell. Of course, she has that "what was that?" look. It doesn't do any good to beat them.
The weather looks to be decent for the next two weeks.
On the jobsite. Got an issue from the tree huggers regarding our HVAC dehumidifier installation. We have to get the engineer involved in this.
I'm not sure that there's room up our asses for all of this crap. Insh'Allah that we have enough time to work it out and get it done before Moving Day.
Home. Grazing in. Picked up the plans, and it doesn't look good for the HVAC guys.
Except.
We just got this plan last week. Maybe 10 days ago. So, they just learned about this. I think, for honest folks, it means that they should get a pass on this and get paid. They do a lot of work for us. Will they go broke if they don't? No, not even on this job. Is it fair? Wat thinks so.
Happy Tuesday!!! Slept okay. Crashed early so I'm awake early. Kitten is annoying the Geezer cat. Girlcat is investigating her realm.
We still never heard back from the architect and engineer, but so be it. There's a bit more research which can be done to determine what we can do and can't do. One thing I do know is, I need to get shit done because I now have a concrete moving date. Things have truly expanded to the time available, damn them.
I still can't make sense of this new painting. Maybe more coffee will help . . . .
