TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

It wasn't as bad as it might be. Called the boss and we adjusted the load. It's a touch less weary.

Scored a pepperoni on the way home.

Ain't goin' in tomorrah . . . .

You've never seen the ocean? Not even from the air? Maui will be great. The water is warm and the snorkeling is easy.

I've seen it from inside a plane when I flew to Europe, but it's not the same as really seeing it, I think of those little windows more like pictures. I've been snorkeling, and I'm certified to dive, living on the lakes that's handy but nope, never seen any of the oceans in person.

Wat loathes salt water. Then again, he rarely if ever goes in any of it past regular bathing. The last excursion into salt water was a bit of wading at the beach.

Off for Sunday, for the first time in a few weeks. Little is on the agenda.

What is most essential to Buddhism is based on clarifying the mind. If you want your mind to be clear, it is important to put opinions to rest. If opinions are not stopped, then wrong and right are confused; if the mind is not clear, reality and illusion are mixed up. If you stop opinions and clear the mind, then reality and illusion are both empty, wrong and right do not stand.

~ Hsueh-yen

I worked set net fishing on the beach for 6 summer and salt water was preferred to the combo of salt water, sand, and fish gurry. Still, nice to rinse with fresh water, if it was available.

I do praise and thanks the gods for decent city water here. One can run a container of it and put it in the fridge and save on bottled water because it isn't disgusting.

Kitten passed through to examine Wat's chips-n-dip. She didn't find anything she wished to try and moved along.

The city water goes into a filtered container at work for drinking. Otherwise, it's like drinking a swimming pool. At home, the well is good water.

Oddly, we have county water Out West, so there's no well. And we can't see the water tower. So, we have no well. We do have a stream, and we're thinking of damming a small pond on it for use In Case Of. It's down a steep hill, so access will have to be created.

“The feelings that hurt most, the emotions that sting most, are those that are absurd - The longing for impossible things, precisely because they are impossible; nostalgia for what never was; the desire for what could have been; regret over not being someone else; dissatisfaction with the world’s existence. All these half-tones of the soul’s consciousness create in us a painful landscape, an eternal sunset of what we are.”

“There’s intoxication enough for me in just existing. Drunk on feeling, I drift but never stray…I’m just the same. But behind this sameness, I secretly scatter my personal firmament with stars and therein create my own infinity.”

~ Fernando Pessoa

That red anvil up there bidded up to $15K two hours before hammertime, and that seemed close to right. Then it went to $26.8K because st000pid. More money than sense. Damned thing doesn't even have overdrive, and it's not like it's a show winner.

Dummies.

I could see it being attractive. I can also see finding one for around half of what was paid. It's not like it was a National First Prize winner from daze gone by.

I'd just want a driver. With overdrive.

A museum piece to look at isn't that satisfying.

Perhaps it might be if you (re)built it.

Happy Monday. Slept kinda half-assed. Thought of a mistake we made last week. I don't think that it's a killer, but it may make things interesting. in a Chinese curse kind of way.

There are some who wish to perfect themselves and who train themselves in this way: "One single self we shall tame, one single self we shall pacify, one single self we shall lead to final nirvana." But those with compassion should not train themselves in such a way. On the contrary, they should say this: "My own self I will place into Suchness, and so that all the world may be helped, I will place all beings into Suchness, and I will lead to nirvana the whole immeasurable world of beings."

~ Diamond Sutra
