TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

There was Darwinism before Darwin, you know. We just didn't quite know what to call it.

Home. Got off a bit early and went to score a couple of recent purchases. The cats are investigating. They would be remiss if they did not. Silly fuckers.

Grazing in, again. We still have lots of leftovers.

Happy Wednesday. Slept decidely better last night. Had the whole herd not long before the alarm went off. It's chilly this morning.

We have a training session at work today and tomorrow. 9 - 12. This is the class using the circle pie chart thingie where Wat gave only 1 extreme answer on a scale of 1 to 5. Everything was 2 to 4. And there was still this extreme on-the-edge rating. We found that to be weird.

It'll be better with enough coffee on board.

In a controversy, the instant we feel anger, we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.

I had a 6-game parlay on DraftKings last night. The Miami Heat lost or I would have won $400 on a $10 bet. So close...

Good. Less body disposal.

I saw something recently that sattelite imaging can detect human body sized graves from space. I guess that means one now needs a large auger to drill deep round holes for disposal.

There's still a pig pen.

Happy Thursday!!! Slept okay. The timing is off a bit. Wat Has 2 video-thingies this morning, so that should make for an interesting day. One is a training thingie. The one yesterday wasn't bad, but I didn't really take anything from it that I was at least generally aware of. But, that's okay.

Coffee is what really makes the world go 'round.

Happy is he who lives contented in solitude, is well-versed in the Doctrine and who has realized it. Happy is he who lives in this world free from ill-will, and is benevolent towards all beings. Happy is he who lives in this world free from passion, has overcome sensual enjoyment, and who has attained mastership over the conceit of "I am." This indeed is the highest happiness.

Great minds are like eagles, and build their nest in some lofty solitude. . . . People can be themselves only so long as we are alone, and if we do not love solitude, we will not love freedom, for it is only when we are alone that we are really free.

I think that someone got in trouble on Justified for using just such a thing.

Now, slurry ponds, on the other hand. Almost as good as pigs, and you don't have to pull the teeth out first. We hate to upset the piggies' digestive tracts.

Interesting day at the workplace. Got in a trip to the other job. Checked on some shit, picked up a leased piece to return to the rental place tomorrow (out of the way), and found out that their plumber still sucks. His brand new toilet flange in the ADA conversion bath is 17.5" from the stud wall. It wants to be 18" from the drywall (finished) wall. If I were building it, I would have made it about 19" and been done with it, since (I think) it's getting five eighths drywall there. Likely, like the broken sprinkler pipe, it's a case of piss-poor (or no) supervision.

Made some burgers and shared a few wee pieces with Kitten. She's a fan.

Two prehistoric critters with the combined intellect of a toenail clipping. Yet they will eat your ass remorselessly.

Happy Friday, and Happy December. Awake too early, but so it goes. Cats are fed and quiet. House is warm enough. Payday happened, which is the main benefit from continuing to go to work. Got a couple of errands to run today, but no heavy lifting. Thanks be to Allah!!!

At the center of the universe is a loving heart that continues to beat and that wants the best for every person. Anything we can do to help foster the intellect and spirit and emotional growth of our fellow human beings, that is our job. Those of us who have this particular vision must continue against all odds. Life is for service.

Yup. A client sent me that, the little human rolled her eyes and then went looking for help with her history homework.
I do science and math, even some art but history and geography falls to others.

Every year we each choose one project we want to accomplish, this year the little human reached out to one of her uncles, my second born and asked him to design a new computer for her, building it is going to be her project. Paying for the parts and figuring out why it's not working will be mine.

Her great-uncle Wat would be happy to help her with history. Dr. Tyler and he were discussing the Knights Templar while he was driving home from work. The parts he didn't know, he made up. It amuses the good doctor. We'll do breakfast in the morning.

Home. Rain has started. May wander out later - to be determined. The department boss has hired a replacement for the guy who quit several weeks ago. It'll allow him to focus more on his shit and less on that shit over there. It'll also mean that Wat doesn't have to spend any more time over there, either. Praises to Allah!!!

The History of the Knights Templar and all of the myths and legends associated with them is some fascinating stuff.

If you watch enough History Channel, people seem to think that they were everywhere, Africa, America, maybe even China.

I think that most of it is as bullshit as the Bermuda Triangle. They tell you how many people disappeared, but they never tell you how many didn't.

And for how many seasons do you think that they can keep us believing that Oak Island has any sort of secret (or treasure) yet to be uncovered.

And while I'm on it, bring back Hitler and ditch the Aliens. Only one of them is real history. Although, if he had succeeded, the History would be written as if it were being written by Democrats, the stuff of fantasy fiction.

Good luck with that computer project. I used to build all of my own, but now I just buy a new MacBook when I need one.

Happy Saturday!!! Managed to sleep in a bit for me, which is saying something. Seem to have just a touch of sinus going on, but that would rate as typical for this time of year around here. Started a grocery list as we seem to be out of some stuff, or running very low. Like: kibble. That would be a crime to run out. Some creatures wouldn't be happy.

We do have plenty of coffee.

I'm inclined to think that Space Aliens would have wiped this rock clean if they had ever arrived, no matter what time that was, and that it wouldn't have been drawn out like Independence Day. Besides, most all points of origin for them are just too fucking far away. It would be quite arrogant to think that we're completely alone, but quite unlikely that aliens wouldn't have made themselves known by now, somehow.

I'm more of the MIB camp. Aliens exist, the governments know and are using whatever they can to profit themselves.

In other news, the outside lights and decorations are up and tomorrow we start inside.

I would (kinda) love for there to be aliens like in MIB. And I put no piece of wanton scumbaggery past our gummint or any other - they all suck monkey balls. But I like how this guy thinks, and I love his curious mind:

Happy Sunday. Ravings have the weekend off, so they can't lose. Slept okay. Cats are quiet for the moment. The shooping list is partway made and editing is underway. It's warm and damp - showers this morning.

Coffee is underway, too.

Overcoming attachment does not mean becoming cold and indifferent. On the contrary, it means learning to have relaxed control over our mind through understanding the real causes of happiness and fulfillment, and this enables us to enjoy life more and suffer less.
