Turning poems into songs

what is one supposed to do with .wma files?

I'm assuming that you can't hear these songs, and all I can tell you is that if one uses windows xp as I do, you would be able to hear these songs. I have no idea how to convert them, sorry I'm just not a tech kind of guy.

Carl -

Go to google (or your favorite search engine) and look for "converting wma files." I found several viable converters that will take your files to either the more widely used .wav format or mp3 (or both) for about $20 US.

;)
- Judo

PS - Would you put that AV away? It's awfully distracting. :p

So I was wondering if anyone would care to write a poem that I could change into a song,
Hi Carl,

try:

                Slavonic Dance        dim noise        celebration

Feel free to browse over my other submissions (U may click on my sig below too). And I will be glad to post more, in particular one my poem about Northern California and Saigon (it's not about war).
the only real need for this poem would be it has to have a chorus after each verse. [...]

Carl
Hm, I can add the chorus part but it's not there now (refrain--it may change slightly after each stanza. U did mean after each stanza, not after each verse=line, didn't U?

And I will check your page after I get some sleep first :).

Best regards,

Hi Senna, these were all good poems but far to complicated to turn into songs, I'd seriously have to butcher them to get what I want, and I don't wish to do that.

Thank you for including them into this thread though, it's appreciated.

JUDO, I couldn't even afford 20cents at the moment, let alone $20.:D I will have a look though, for anything that might help.

I shouldn't really be placing this here, as it's for poems but people here have liked my songs. This one was inspired by a close friend, Dixicritter, it's our first attempt at a Latin number.

The songs called "I can promise you" I bet it gets your feet tapping.:D

Words: Carl East...Music: Robert Croshaw....Goddess...um never mind.:p

I can promise you

No way I’d leave you
This I can say
I can promise you now, I’m here to stay

Can you remember when we first met?
I felt that my waiting had come to an end
When I looked into those deep brown eyes
And was greeted with such a beautiful smile

Now many years later I look upon you
I see why my love has always held so true
When I look into those deep brown eyes
I can see the love, which is no big surprise

No way I’d leave you
This I can say
I can promise you now; I’m here to stay

You and I were meant to be
Like the sun and the rain, so naturally
Can one man be so lucky in love?
Since the day you were sent from heaven above.

No way I’d leave you
This I can say
I can promise you now; I’m here to stay

No way I’d leave you
This I can say
I can promise you now; I’m here to stay

No way I’d leave you
This I can say
I can promise you now; I’m here to stay
I can promise you now; I’m here to stay

Wow Carl....you've out done yourself once again. And it takes my breath away that you say I inspired such a wonderful song.

Absolutely great...I love it.
