Undercover Love (closed)

"wow, that is one helluva ride." T walked over to the car. He slowly walked around the car, pretending to look at it, but really looking to see if anything or anyone was inside the vehicle. He got down on his hands and knees and checked underneath.

After getting back on his feet, he opened the door for Jessie. "The car is almost as amazing as the driver. Don't break any speed limits on the way home. It would mean we would both end up getting tickets, because I am not going to let you lose me." He winked at her as he closed the door. Then he headed over to his bike.

Smiling got in the car and started it up with a smile.

No worries about breaking any speed limits for now. I doubt even you could catch up with me in this if I did.

She watched him walk over to his bike but also studied the area once more.

He climbed onto his bike and surveyed the parking lot once again. He let Jessie pull out first and paused for a minute to see if anyone followed her. When nobody did, he started his bike and headed out after her; following her home.

Once there, he pulled into the driveway and quickly dismounted. He was at the side of the car when she got out. Maybe it was a little over the top, but for now anyway, he was going to take every possible precaution.

"I'll go inside with you and make sure everything is okay. Then, I will sleep on the porch. That chair looks comfy."

Afraid to sleep inside?

She teased.

It's not a problem there are like three bedrooms

"Afraid? No. Well, if your uncle found out I was sleeping inside with you he probably would be a little upset."

T smiled at Jessie. "Of course, how else would he expect me to be able to protect you if I wasn't in the same place as you? I will tell you what, I will sleep on the couch. It is probably better than that crappy bed I sleep in anyway."

He went in the house first and looked around before letting Jessie come in. "Everything seems fine. I will be right over there," pointing to the sofa, "if you should need anything."

She smiled and headed to her room for a bit before moving to the kitchen hen to figure out some dinner and grab some wine.

Want anything?

T kicked off his boots and he stretched out on the couch. He heard Jessie come out of her room and move into the kitchen.

Looking up when he heard her. "No thanks Jessie. I am good." All the while he was thinking, "yea, there is something I want but I don't think your uncle would be too happy about it."

He sat up, wondering if she was going to come into the living room and join him. He saw that she had a glass of wine and assumed that yes, she was going to join him for a while.

She walked into the living room with some fruit and wine.

If you change your mind there is plenty Uncle Jazz made sure momma Lia there from the bar to stock the place up for me.

He watched her walk in with her fruit and wine. Sitting up on the couch, he said to her, "your uncle certainly does take good care of you, doesn't he? You must be very special to him."

T smiled at Jessie. He wondered why Jazzman had selected him for this task. It was probably the same reason he had been selected for some of the other tasks that he had to do at the MC and why he was a part of all of their important drug runs and hijackings..... his attention to detail. T-Bone noticed the little things and it had saved the MC millions of dollars and prevented many arrests.

"Not to get too personal, but did Daniels know you were leaving or did you just disappear on him? I only ask so that I can judge how pissed off he is going to be.... real pissed off or super pissed off?"

I found a chance to go and I ran. He was drunk. Finally too drunk to fight with anyone... So I ran.

She curled up biting her lip clearly a little scared thinking about it.

I don't know what he will do if anything or if he has already started looking or started in on some other poor target.

"If he started in on another target, that is good for you. It doesn't make it right, but it is what is in your best interest. If he comes here looking for you, it won't be good for you, but it will be worse for you; much, much worse. It may cause you some stress, but it will cost him a great deal of pain."

T smiled at Jessie. "I have your back. I will not allow anything to happen to you."

She curled up drinking the wine knowing better than to hope Callis would not hunt her down.

I don't know what to think or do. I don't know what he would do.

She smiled to him the deep cover act had melded in perfectly with her previous cover and she could wrap up two birds with one stone as it were.

"Don't worry about what he will do. Whatever he tries, I will be ready for it. Nothing will happen to you."

He watched as Jessie sat there drinking her wine. He wondered how she got messed up with such an asshole. She seemed like she had it all together and wouldn't get caught up with a guy just for the money. She seemed so much better than that.

Then, he wondered how the hell he got to be where he was. This was supposed to be a short term assignment; get in, make a few contacts and then get out. They would take down the low level contacts and turn them on the higher-ups. He made connections too quickly, and proved to be too good at the tasks he was given. His bosses decided he should stay in, which made it harder to communicate with them. Eventually, he was so deep, and couldn't get out. He needed to see it through.

Now, he had to stay and make sure that Jessie was okay. The cop in him told him that.

She just smiled to him a little.

I trust that you will. I want a name to call you other than your club name.

She curled over against him with a soft smile. She was trying to figure out how to tell him she knew who he was and who she was but it wasn't the right time.

He smiled when she wanted a name to call him other than his MC name. He was very comfortable around Jessie. Maybe too comfortable, because he gave his real name. “My name is Trevor.” He stopped quickly; realizing he slipped up.

Trying to hide his slip-up, T started making small talk with Jessie. Asking her questions about herself, but avoiding asking anything about Daniels. “What do you like to do for fun Jessie? What is the one thing that would make you smile and forget about everything?”

She smiled hearing his real name.

I used to bartend and paint but now that I am home I love going out to the waterfall.

She smiled thinking about it.

Have you ever been?

"waterfall? What waterfall? I haven't heard of any waterfall. Of course, it isn't the kind of thing that the people I hang out with tend to be interested in."

He smiled at her. There was something about her that allowed him let his guard down, and that scared him. One small slip-up and it could not just end the investigation, it could end his life.

"I am thinking that since I have been appointed your personal protector that I am going to end up seeing it though. That smile on your face tells me it is someplace you like and are determined to visit."

Well would that be such a bad thing?

She laughed a little with a playful pout. Finishing her wine she stood up to take her stuff back to the kitchen. Looking to him as she spoke before offering an unconscious goodnight kiss to his cheek.

Why not tomorrow.

"I didn't say it would be a bad thing. It actually might be a good thing. SOmething different."

T smiled at her as she gave him a pouty face. "Oh, did I hurt your feelings," he laughed.

"It is a date. The waterfall..... tomorrow. Well, not exactly a date. Well.... you know what I mean."

So what we call it a date? Does that word scare you or does Uncle Jazz scare you?

She laughed watching his face.

"The word doesn't scare me, but your uncle sure as hell does. He might be an old timer, but I would still never want to be on his bad side."

He smiled at Jessie.

"I would never be so presumptuous that a beautiful woman as your self would want to say that going to the waterfall with a guy that was told to be her bodyguard would be considered a date. However, if that is what you want to call it, I am good with it."

If you don't lime the idea call it whatever then.

Finishing her wine she moved to vo to bed.

Till tomorrow.

“Hey Jessie, I like the idea. I am looking forward to going to the waterfall, and it would be great to call it a date.”

He watched her head off to bed. He was pissed that he had upset her. Anyone would be happy to be on a date with Jessie; she was beautiful and sexy. He was just trying to be careful not to insult her and it seemed to backfire.

She wasn't mad. He was new to the club and Uncle Jazz scared some people with his pull within the club

After Jessie headed off to bed, T laid on the sofa and stared at the ceiling for a long time. He was in cop mode now. He listened to every sound to determine if there was any threat. he was on high alert, and even when he did doze off, the slightest sounds resulted in his eyes snapping open.

When the sun came up, T sat up on the sofa. He could use some coffee, but couldn't go out to get it. He decided to go check the kitchen to see if he could find any.
