USA East Coast Accents

Oh please do :)

I love accents of any sort - they're like music and the variety of American accents is amazing. The deep south drawl is really sexy and I think the ones from Maine etc have another charm. I like the New Jersey accents but … to my ear it's not immediatley sexy :( Sorry

See that's two votes so now he has to :)

Sorry, but I had to laugh at this.
From an American perspective, NOBODY would describe the New York accent as an "ear orgasm". :D

Abrasive, maybe, but orgasm isn't exactly the first word that comes to mind. :p

Bless the foreign perspective.

I'm not foreign you're foreign lol

Each to their own I guess. I like what I like x

I love woman with Southern USA accents as well as British accents.

As for me, I have lived in New Jersey for 20yrs but I still retained most of my Brooklyn.

:0

Marry me but treat me like your mistress ;)

lol, No need to apologize.
I wouldn't expect anyone to find our accent sexy. :p
Then again, you might be thinking of the NJ stereotype accent, and I don't have that one.

Wait, where did that rule come from?

I think you should post your voice ;)

My normal voice is nothing spectacular or sexy.

Actually recording my voice in a way y'all could hear it would be the hard part.
I know there's that Vocaroo website to use, but if I recall correctly, I tried that once and it didn't work right for me. My recording sounded silent.

Is that like "de boids is choipin in da trees" ? :D
Not meant to be rude - just a different music

My very first boyfriend was from Southie. His accent made me drool every single time he spoke. While I have a thing for those Irishmen, a Boston man will always win out.

My very best friend Ever Ever Ever, has a lovely USA East Coast Accent X

I'm stuck with my New Orleans accent, and I'm pretty sure we don't talk like anybody else in the world....~laughing~

Why don't you let us be the judge of that?

Maybe if I can make it work.

Not at all.
That's closer to that dispicable North Jersey accent.
South Jersey isn't very strong.

It mostly shows up in cawffee (coffee), wahta (water), and yes-t'day (yesterday).
Oh, and we pronounce aunt like ant, which apparently isn't universal. :p

I just came. ♥

yes you do need to come to England

The majority of women would go nuts believe me

Cockneys (one of the many variations of an London accent)

Northern accents (Yorkshire mainly)

And technically scots and irish are just that. I don't want to be that arrogant brit who merges everyone together.
But love they way they talk plus huskiness and deepness is always a plus in any voice for me.
Gotcha.
I'm afraid I'm not good at sorting out the various English accents. I once met an English expat in my area and correctly guessed he was from the north of England. There was no real method to it... just a good guess. I was like "OK, you don't sound like southern England/English on TV but you don't quite sound Scottish... northern England?"

Oh, and we pronounce aunt like ant, which apparently isn't universal. :p
Yeah, we pronounce aunt like ant in Illinois too. When I teased a lady from Massachusetts I knew that I didn't have an "awwnt" she informed she wasn't related to any insects.

To each their own, I guess, but I guess I picture East Coast accents and I hear the Jersey Shore cast. Not exactly my cup of tea.

For me, most accents I like are foreign, and I am a sucker for accents from eastern Europe.

Nothing wrong with that :)

I used to know a girl from Maine, and she was the first to point out my pronunciation of yesterday as more of a yes-t'day and poke fun at it.

I got her back when she would pronounce room as rum.

Their voices and accents are filthy and sound nothing like the rest of us.
The way those people talk (and act) is only like the top 30 miles of NJ. :p

Probably the best representation of South Jersey is the original Clerks movie, oddly enough. :D
