Any foodies from the 804? I'm looking for good places to eat near VCU. I'm not concerned about location, most of my favorite places are in sketchy neighborhoods, nor am I concerned about ambiance or what's on tap. I want freshly cooked food with bold flavor, so no chain restaurants, buffets & especially no deep fried greasy ass Southern food.

Prefer to eat vegan but will cheat with some gai or fish sauce if it's Thai, or sogogi if Korean

I've mostly been sticking around The National area & have hit Peryl's , Sang Jun Thai, Africanne on Main & Ipanema Cafe. Thinking about trying Kuba Kuba, anyone been there?
