My heartfelt apologizes to all of my co-writers and friends on Lit. I've been very busy this year and what free time I've had, I spent traveling. Here are some shots of what I've been up to this year.

Physique: Lithe & Very Toned
Written Appearance: Mai's small frame, light gold skin and youthful form makes it easy for her to be overlooked and underestimated. Though she has learned to hide her thoughts and feelings, if you look carefully, the truth is always present in her bright amber eyes. While traveling, Mai wears a dark blue, sleeveless tunic that ends above her ankles. The long slits of the tunic run from below her hips to her feet, and protective runes are embroidered in silver along the edges. The form fitting tunic, black leggings, dark brown leather boots, a black silk belt and storm gray, hooded cloak covers her from head to toe. Beneath the belt, a thinly braided leather belt with two dagger sheaths rest over her hips. She wears a weather beaten, leather travel pack on her back and a weather proofed instrument case crosses over her shoulder. Mai's thick, blue-black tresses are always tied up in intricate braids and coiled on her head. Her long, silky hair is only released to fall down past her hips when she performs.

Only with physical touch: take away heat from something giving off heat, make an existing fire stronger, dry wet clothing & make her specially crafted daggers into fire daggers that sears wounds as they cut. (Any ability she uses are not extremely strong in general but will grow as she levels up.)
Loss of Control – When Mai loses focus and her magic goes wild, she can cause devastating damage but she pays for the loss.
Background: It is said that the Zhi family has been cursed by the love shared by one of their own and a God. Those who are touched by the old union are blessed with brilliant minds and a strong talent. But neither strength, skill or intelligence will save them from the curse of death. They have all died while in prime of their life. The family has long been known for their keen minds and beautiful art. Many perform the arts, become teachers, healers or counselors to the powerful.
Before Mai's birth, the soothe sayers proclaimed her as one of the blessed. Her affinity with fire was made apparent the day the family found her dancing around with little balls of flame. Mai grew up learning martial arts, dance and musical performance since she was a child. Everything was designed to teach her to be strong, limber and in control of her mind, body and emotions. The flowing forms of martial arts are used to perform in her dances and are vital in her defense.
On her thirteenth birthday, Mai celebrated with her family and left her home to study with the Mountain Mages. Though she learned everything her family could teach her, it was not enough. They could not teach her how to control her magic or ease the devastating results when she lost control. Since then, she has been traveling as a performer from one place to another in order to learn as much as she can about her “gift” and what it means. Over the years, Mai grew into a beautiful woman that enraptures those who see her perform. She became known as the Golden Siren that enchants those who see her perform. She learned more clues to her family's past but not enough to know exactly how her ancestor’s choice to follow her heart has impacted their bloodline. She is driven by her desire for knowledge and the inescapable pull of destiny. There are times when Mai finds herself pulled towards a place or person. Each time she finds herself losing control, being a part of an event that is larger than herself and becomes Little Dragon.
Current Story: Tales of a powerful dark Witch and the capture of the Queen Emeline of Fantasia has spread like wildfire across the kingdoms. The queen is the living seal that keeps the evil God Meldorne imprisoned. A sense of urgency fills Mai and she makes her way to Mila.
