Nasty chemicalsColour is done by a local lab. Black and white is done by me. I did colour for a while, but easier (and nearly as cheap) to send to a lab.

Nasty chemicals
My dad was an aerial photographer for the US Navy back in the Korean War. He taught me as a kid how to develop B&W and I was still doing so, using his 50+ yrs enlarger and gear, up until 10 years ago.colour ones are pretty nasty as they use bleach. B&W are not too bad - you can use lemon juice as a stop bath. Mostly just a bit smelly

I thank you for triggering fond memories.
I have to say that your film kit is the kit I lusted after before I moved to digital . The Zeiss Ikon is a beauty imho. There are some companies that use aerial/military film... it is lovely as it has a very smooth range, but it tends to be really thin (to save weight and get as much as possible on board) and i have been reduced to near tears trying to load it into a processing tank. The one i used was fabulous to look at, not to handle!
I will try and find a B&W water themed one to post
The Zeiss was given to me. You can get them silly cheap on ebay. The thing is, they work! I have used it in very sub zero temps and it gets the shot. Same with the Rollei 35 (although they are not so cheap these days).I have to say that your film kit is the kit I lusted after before I moved to digital . The Zeiss Ikon is a beauty imho.
It's a great photo. I had a similar experience. I was cursing a couple sitting in my view, but took it anyway. When I looked at it later I realised they made the shot.
inspired by @LIDiver
Pentax SLR and Washi B&W film based on aerial recon film. No idea who the couple were, they wandered into the scene and made it better.
I love this. The colours are fabulous.Gulf Shores, AL
