I collect mugs too! Or just accumulate them…My favourite mug representing my favourite hobby and containing my favourite (non-alcoholic) drink. My favourite Lit crush has a similar mug so I have the added bonus of thinking of him when I use this mug too

My favourite bird (species)
The Swift - Apus Apus
The epitome of a british summer, fleeting and wonderful. They arrive towards the end of April, not having touched down since they left the previous August. They land only to nest, in cracks in building, under eaves, etc. Everything else is done on the wing, including mating - i have seen it, watching through a camera viewfinder and not daring to press the shutter as i would miss seeing it. They gather nesting material in the air too, sometimes swooping around birds of prey as they pluck a kill. Once the young are ready to leave the nest they go... and will fly for three years before they are ready to nest.
The birds are very site faithful and suffer as people block nesting holes in houses or buildings.
The screams from on high in summer and wonderful as they fee at dusk before heading up to sleep on the thermals
If you see one, wave and call "SWIFT!" People will understand
