Volunteer Editor program issues

Don't know why but it seems like people misunderstand me on these forum thingy's .

I was just saying that I had at least one editor who appeared to be sensitive to my need for edits.

I am still waiting for the return of my 2nd-6th chapters and trying to be understanding of my editor's need to do something other than focus his whole life on my timless prose.


I wrote a story about an Editor had it edited and posted it. Put a thread on the editors boards to tell them it was my salute to editors and the thread turned into a cat fight between the usual suspects. I tried to interviene and calm everyone down and get them to read my 2,700 word story, you know to get a few opinions.

After this I'm going to stick to "Suck and Fuck" from now on. The story is tanking and all I get is abuse.

I'm sorry if you thought I was giving you abuse. I thought I was saying that I understood that your post was meant as a compliment to the editors and thought being snide about it was out of line.

I also thought you were saying on this thread that you were pleased with the editor you eventualy got. So, go figure.

Reading this post has made me even more grateful to the wonderful VE who was the first to volunteer to help me edit and has since been inundated!

Thanks again to Asylum Seeker - I can highly recommend him as a VE to anyone who is looking for good, clear advice.
