Wardens of Wildemount ((OOC))

Posted guys. If I missed someone else at the poker game let me know, and I'll see to editing my post.

I had her call out Jon a bit, but in a flirty way that he'll get lucky no matter who wins or loses this game.

Hey desperado you said in your post you had four aces, but in my post I said Jaena had two in her hand. She just was taught to call them by what players in Nicodranus called them: Paladins. So in essence she has two kings, a queen, and two aces herself. If Jon has four aces then one of them is cheating right?

Instead how about we lay on the flirting and innuendo a bit for some calls and raises but when it comes time to put the cards on the table they wound up having the same hands. From that draw in the game they'll initiate the sex scene itself.

I see this poker game proceeding like foreplay. Both of them have already decided the sex is going to happen after all.

Oh, sorry. Will edit. And of course we can do that, but this is a public poker game, so the others are welcome to post as well. Also, what about spreading it out over multiple hands? This is a five-card draw, is it not? Also, is it Knight or Knave?

Depends where Jon learned to play the game. Knights, Paladins, Warriors they all mean aces depending who taught it to you and where.

I'm of two minds. I like the spreading over a few hands idea but I also like it ending in a draw to start the lovescene proper too. I can go with either plan depending on your preference.

Yeah, it's basic classic 5 card draw poker, with a couple new names for a couple of the cards and its Nicadranus rules so twos are wild.

Several hands, then. And Jon has the equivalent of four Jacks, which is what I was referring to when I said "Knave".

Sorry for the delay folks. Between Lit not sending me notifications and work kicking my ass, It's been tough. I'll go back to checking for posts by going to the site.

Haha, honestly it's a little difficult to tell which sword you said Jon is "skilled" with, JSB. But only a little. Also, I suppose you could say that whatever's making everyone extra-frisky, is affecting him too. I'm eventually looking to have him "settle down" with one character, but that'll be later. Usually he'd "wine and dine" before looking to settle down, as it were (not that he's ever heard wedding bells, but you get the idea) but this same energy, is causing him to "play the field" in this manner instead. Make sense?

So, what's the bet again? LOL

(Seriously though, I need to know so I can post.)

EDIT: Never mind, I think Jon currently has the bet to either match or beat. He also came up with a way for those without gauntlets to call. He'll just not consider his boots part of his available "funds".

I think we should wait for Veroe to post again before anyone else does so, as Jaena is the only participant in the poker hand not to have interacted since the stakes were changed to strip poker.

Guys I'm deeply sorry about this, but I think I might have to back out of the thread. This new 12 hr work schedule I'm on is totally kicking my ass and leaving me with no time or energy to do any writing. I just can't give the thread the time it needs right now. I'm slowing everybody down, and for that I don't see any other course of action than you guys moving on without me.

Sorry.

That's understandable Veroe.

It does kind of leave us with where we go from here. This thread has always been a little off and on so I'm not sure at this point how many we have left to keep it going. I'm actually tempted to start a new thread like this from scratch cause I think a campaign like this would be a blast.

(Actually I'm REALLY tempted to do a thread like this but for the ALIEN RPG as I would love to go back into that world. My table top group I have tried out the ALIEN system and it was a blast but we didn't stick with it. Would love to try a story like thread of it for here)

But, I'm all up for still doing this thread if it's still a go.

Eh, it's a little frustrating but it's not the end of the world. I would not mind continuing where we are now. Perhaps Jaena just sort of vanishes, and the same effect caused the rest of us to not really give a rat's ass.

Before you go, what about taking another level?

We'll miss you if you back out, Veroe. However, it is very understandable that you just might not have time. It's finals week at my college, and my post length and regularity have greatly suffered.

JSB, I've very much enjoyed writing with you and would love to join any thread you start.

I know Willow is a Wood elf, but what does she look like? Hair and skin coloring, etc.

Finn may also know Thieves Cant from his travels and dabbling in the shadier side of life on the road. He certainly knows it when he sees it.

I think this is the pic I used as a reference for Finn. He's taller and broader than a usual half elf, taking after his human father. White hair, blue eyes. Black eyebrows and chest hair--long story. Braided hair that he's rather vain about.

Here's a version with white hair.

Agreed on all fronts, but I still would like to try and keep this one afloat if at all possible.

Posted! We could say that, if we pretend we're actually playing D&D, that whatever effect made Jaena disappear--particularly the part where anyone who sees it won't even realize something strange just happened and they will just be calm and go on about their business as if the vanished person was never there--has one of those conditions that says, "A saving throw automatically fails if" and it could be, "if the witness is a friend, lover or acquaintance of the person who disappeared".

Willow is average height, pale skin, green eyes, full lips, long (like floor length) deep green (almost black) hair.

Where In Talos' Name Is Everyone?! Really, How Long Does It Take To Post?! I'm Bored Out Of My Mind!!!

This thread has a slow pace to it. I post in a day or so once its my turn. I don't really like posting right after just one poster went after me. I think everyone just kind of misunderstood their schedule when starting this thing(I've been there!).

Since Haremfaery just posted I'm going to see about posting once I'm able to, but that's going to be like tomorrow night. I got an old school dice roll game of D&D tonight.
