I am one more of those that just LOVE this thing. Applied... well, applied just about anywhere. In some places it is REALLY intense, but for me it is more scary than really painful.
Back to the original question: Wartenberg vs dough cutter vs sewing wheel (used to transfer plan from paper to the fabric. ) . I THINK that Wartenberg is less sharp - it is intended to activate the nerves, not pierce the skin. As for the other two, their intended usage is piercing of the material, dough and paper respectfully. But I never really compared them, as there were about 20 years between the last time I handled the sewing wheel and the first time I heard about Wartenberg.
The last thought on the subject - the classic vs multi-wheeled models from above. We have the classic and I think the 5-wheeled one from Amazon. For me the classic is WAY MORE intense. With 5 wheels the pressure is distributed to a larger area, so each point gets less. Is is still nice and can be applied much longer to areas where the classic one sends me moaning from pain on the first run, but if you need to choose just one, go with the classic.
And yes, in our case it is also used only on me - my partner does enjoy pain, just not this kind.

So the first outing for our new toy ended being practiced on him, rather than me. I was giving him a nice long slow detailed blow job the other day (night?) and was suddenly inspired. Reached into the drawer and took it out with lots of reassuring 'I'm not going to actually hurt you' and rolled it extremely gently down his cock. Results were favourable - definitely still in the experimental phase with that (and there's been very strict instructions that it is NOT to touch the head). I love seeing the reaction to a new sensation though.
Wow! Brave guy! I would never even think about starting directly on the cock. If he was on his back, then I would probably start from thighs. And then slowly and gradually move closer to the final destination.
LOL - that probably would have been the sensible way to go about things. Having said that, he didn't really get a chance to be 'brave' or otherwise ... I mean, he knew what I was doing, and could have said stop if he really didn't want me to try, but we didn't really discuss it first. I probably should have ... BAD girlfriend.
I know that for me buildup and anticipation are half of the pleasure, so I would assume that for men it works the same...
I wonder how he will go about it, when it is his turnTrue ... but sometimes a bit surprise is fun too. Good to mix it up a bit.

I'm reviving this thread because I need some advice from an experienced user ... I'm about to actually (and finally) buy one for the BF's upcoming birthday. I instinctively thought the ones with more rows of spikes would be 'better' (read that how you want), but then someone wrote somewhere that the sensation isn't as great because the pressure is spread across a wider area, and the the ones with a single wheel have a sharper sensation.
Does anyone have any thoughts about that?
Classic model
7 wheel model
Why ? Looks very... enticing to me.
I wandered across this
I wandered across this
I wouldn't mind it "wandering" across me.
It's very pretty - I wonder what it feels like.
There's only one way to find out.
