Wat’s Carbon Water-N-Stuff Thread - Concepts In Iron And Wood!!!

The world is apprehended by way of the mind. The world is acted upon by way of the mind. And all good things and bad, Exist in the world by way of the mind.

~ Samyutta Nikaya

Lose all your concepts about religion and spirituality and love. Be simple, be humble, and be happy in your way; let no one tell you that this is the right way and that is the wrong way. However you feel—whatever brings you peace and joy—is the correct way for you. Continue in that way and you’ll see the bliss get stronger. You’ll see the peace get stronger. It is very simple.

~ Swami Sai Premananda

Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things only hoped for.

~ Epicurus

Very likely by this time, you will have discovered that you don't like Kool-Aid and won't touch the stuff, either.

The most potent weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed.

~ Steve Biko

Being inside your head too much, too long isn't good for you. Much better to interact with life.

Oh, I quite agree. However, if it’s a choice between solitude and stupidity, then there is no choice. One needs to have quality people in one’s life in order for things to go along smoothly, get good feedback, and actually enjoy some things.

I quite enjoy watching/listening to stupid people as they pass by. It gives me things to talk about to my friends across the table.

I enjoy seeing the stupid people. I just don’t want them to get close enough to me where I get any of it on me. That would be a shame, and it is such a bitch to launder it out of your clothes.

Yes, there's a well known saying in the legal community; slime rubs off and sticks to everything around it.

Leaving behind the path of darkness and following the path of light, let the wise person go from home to a homeless state, in retirement looking for enjoyment where enjoyment seemed difficult. Letting go of all pleasures, calling nothing one's own, let the wise cleanse oneself from all the troubles of the mind.

Our life is not our own; yet, at some level, enlightened people know that their life has been given to them as a sacred trust. They live in gratitude and confidence, and they try to let the flow continue through them.

~ Richard Rohr

Now, comrades, what is the nature of this life of ours? Let us face it: our lives are miserable, laborious, and short. We are born, we are given just so much food as will keep the breath in our bodies, and those of us who are capable of it are forced to work to the last atom of our strength; and the very instant that our usefulness has come to an end we are slaughtered with hideous cruelty. No animal in England knows the meaning of happiness or leisure after he is a year old. No animal in England is free. The life of an animal is misery and slavery: that is the plain truth.

Why then do we continue in this miserable condition? Because nearly the whole of the produce of our labour is stolen from us by human beings. There, comrades, is the answer to all our problems. It is summed up in a single word--Man. Man is the only real enemy we have. Remove Man from the scene, and the root cause of hunger and overwork is abolished for ever.

~ George Orwell, Animal Farm, Chapter 1

Teh Narrative: healthcare premiums are going through the roof.

Wat's World: Wat will save $201.90 per month on health care premiums next year.

Life's an absolute bitch for those who don't/can't pay attention.

That'll be more money towards ammo monthly in 2026, too.
