Our Radicalized democrats, read; “western media”, have an Iranian problem. Not only the sentiment above, but how do you cover this uprising? They can’t come out and support it, because they’ve tacitly supported the Ayatollah for 46 yrs. Carter’s CIA, Parisian communists and the BBC sneaking the Ayatollah’s hateful speeches in when he was in exile.

Yeah, they were all complicit.

It’s a twofer…

Iran is not only a religious dictatorship, the “media” only like the religion part because it gives them cover, but they really like the dictatorship part. Centrally controlled? Check. State-dominated economy? Check. Private enterprise criminalized? Check.
Decades of these State run practices have obliterated the middle class and entrenched corruption as the only functional system.

The result is about what you’d expect… not equality or justice or freedom, but, poverty, fear, and hopelessness.

Covering Iran honestly would require acknowledging all that led up to the violent overthrow of ‘79, but the abject failure the regime has made of Iran since. Notice how gutted the talking heads have been trying to make sense of it.
