Wedding Stuff

I like the dress, it's a lovely classic line (my favorite)! The place you're getting married looks lovely, too! I wish I could afford something so lovely.

I'm on one hell of a budget. $1000 budget, that is. So far the dress is $175, got the pastor for free (father of a dear old friend), getting married in the back yard amongst my mother's fabulous garden (it's kind of a tradition), got the caterer for 1/4th of the price because this is her first gig, which I think is about $300. So far I'm doing quite well with this whole budget thing. If I had the money, though, I don't think I'd trade any of this for what I could have. The wedding will be small, intimate, and heck of a lot of fun because family and close friends make it that way. My family is mostly Irish.... and Monk's family is Irish Catholic. Think of all the whiskey we'll consume. I just know that our kids are going to be little imps and sprites: fiesty and short with the family's reputable temper. Hopefully they won't inherit the family's red hair.

I was looking at really pricey dresses because they tend to have weird poses (which I use in my art), and look at some of the ones I found! Some are gorgeous, some are laughable. But many are unique.

some of those dresses are very odd! but some are lovely. Well done for sticking to such a small budget. When I look at what some poeple spend on weddings £11,000+ (about $20,000) I wonder where they get the money!!
My budget isn't anyway near as small as yours but I am trying to keep costs down. We are having a really small do as well, only 20 people - close friends and family. The venue is gorgueos but it only costs £100 (bargain) as long as you have the evening meal there. We are using most of our holiday budget to go to a greek island for two weeks afterwards, we can afford it because we ar going just before the summer vacation for schools starts so it is cheaper!

Our day is August 17th. Originally it was going to be the 10th, but we wanted people to be able to come that were already committed on the 10th.

Oh, cym, I like those much better! I actually was thinking of wearing nothing but a comfy pair of bikinis. The neck is too wide and too low in the back to wear a regular bra, so I might just go without. I usually do anyway. But if I can find a decent bra to accentuate what I don't have, maybe I'll opt for that.

Perhaps a balconette bra? I hear this one comes with a nice suspender belt.
