A Neil Gaiman book sat on my shelves for a while before I opened it and saw it's a sequel to InterWorld, which I don't have. So I won't be starting that for a while. Meanwhile, I have some other Gaiman stuff.

Just finished Into The Uncanny by Danny Robins. Fabulous true account of hauntings in Britain. Now about to start The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods.

Never where by Neil Gaiman
I have yet to find a book of his I don't love.
That's my favorite Neil Gaiman book.
I loved the ending, was just perfect, I wanted more!
The BBC programme from it a few year ago now, is worth a watch.
Personally I can't see past Sandman as his finest work, Good Omens is superb and Stardust is lovely, absolutely my favourite author, I read his children's books to my daughter, her favourite is Fortunately, the Milk 😆

I've heard good words about Sandman, so it is def on my list to get to soon!
I'm close to finishing Neverwhere and next in my pile of books is one called "Boys and Oil"
by Taylor Brorby, about growing up gay in middle america.

Sandman is magnificent, I used to buy it in single issue form as it was coming out, gods im getting old.
There's very little like it out there, in any format, comic/prose/novels. It has so much scope, so much emotion, grand scale, the underlying story taking years to unfold and the array of characters paraded past you. Introduced ideas of sexuality and identity back in the 80's that blew these teenagers mind and had him question so many things in media and society ever since. Characters that didn't appear to have a fixed gender and just were what they wanted to be.
Gods I could go on..
You absolutely should take a weekend to yourself, pick up the omnibus story editions and just dive in, I guarantee you will not be disappointed and also guarantee you will return to them time and time again and still find/take new things from them. ❤️

Oh yes! I loved the ending for Neverwhere!

So up next for me, until I get my copy of Sandman, will be The Handmaid's Tale, by Margaret Atwood.
