What I like about message boards is you get a sense of what people are like and their vibe and can develop a connection. It’s harder to do that in the chat.
I think it really is a case of relaxing and enjoying the ride; offering a compliment or joke maybe

interesting, i started out in the chat rooms because it feels like the most obvious place but it was definitely chaos. these message boards have been a lot more rewarding, especially as ice breakers. loving all the advice from everyone though.
I agree. I sometimes like the ephemeral “in the moment” nature of the cast, and it has resulted in some magical memories.

i doubt i was in those rooms long enough, but i dont remember that being an issue...might not have been something that stuck in my memory though

The chat rooms is a great study of human behavior for people who are into that sort of stuff. I developed quite a theory about the economics of Lit chat

I found it could be a problem, yeah. If I was active, it was almost always fine, but leave the screen for two minutes and you’d get timed out, yeah
