Ouch! I hope you recover fully, or at least enough to enjoy your car. I have a friend who had 1 back surgeries and is on crutches but can drive. He spent quite some time in a wheel chair though

I can also use crutches around my living room. I can drive, I've got a mobility car, its auto with hand controls. I just want to get back in my manual sports car. At least my gf can take me out in it lol.

You'll get there. It might take a while, but you'll get there. My friend can drive pretty much anything. The tractor gives him grief, but manual cars are manageable.

Yes definitely life changing. Having to live downstairs in my lounge since I came out of hospital in October as I can't walk up the stairs. Hoping for a stair lift to be fitted
