What are you watching?

Watching a college football game. I play a game where you pick winners of all 46 bowl games, and assign confidence points to each game. This makes each bowl game a source of stress. Yet, I still watch.

I'm halfway through Rob the Mob. Pretty sure I've seen it before, but I don't remember much. Interesting so far.

Couple of movies:

A re-watch of Jackie Chan's First Strike, a great, fun movie, from what I consider Jackie's prime years. Awesome fun.

Next, a second watch of Sucker Punch. It's an odd film, but features beautiful girls in skimpy attire performing great action stunts. The loose narrative does hold it together, bit it does have an emotional impact far beyond the sum of its parts. I didn't fully 'get it' but it works beautifully.

Love Actually. My new son-in-law put it on...he's such a romantic, old soul. Our daughter picked a wonderful man!

Just finished the latest season of Emily in Paris, Sylvie is a fantasy lady for me.

Several Movies:

Finished up The Grey, starring Liam Neeson, a gritty, desperate flick about a group of crashed workers evading the harsh arctic winter and a pack of wolves picking them off one by one. Gruesome and hopeless, but great.

Next, The Prosecutor starring the martial arts legend Donnie Yen, who also directed. Terrific film, with a lot of heart to go along with the impressive action. As he ages, Yen wants more meaningful stories to go with the fight culture, and his success is obvious here. And the English dubbing is excellent.

Next, the real gem of the day: Missing, a somewhat 'found footage' thriller, which is much darker but similar in execution to the excellent film Searching. Intense all the way through, the plot twists and turns hold together and keep you glued to the screen. An awesome performance by star Storm Reid.
