What did I do wrong?

I agree Cahab....fanfic has to be SPOT on..which is why,although tempted i have never tried to do it,because i know i would fail miserably. I am not into any one programme enough to be able to get the characters exactly right.


I think you do some great stuff in your story Earl,some lovely descriptive writing and some of the dialogue is perfect(esp. Spike)

But as Cahab says fans pick up on little things that aren't quite true to character,and when you're writing erotica you sometimes have to make great leaps from what you KNOW in a programme (buffy is aimed at the teenage market and although there is some sex/sexy stuff in it most of the characters aren't overly sexual and they don't get together and talk orgasm's over coffee or anything) to what you want the characters to do.

The tiniest little thing can jar,and i am sure fans are unforgiving of that. They want to be in that fantasy buffy world and if something doesn't quite strike them right they're going to be jarred out of it.
