Who, me? lol
You sure do have a way with words Harvey, might even say you have a tireless tongue ;)
I wanted to be a nurse, then realized I was too emotional for that sort of job, then I thought I'd like to be a teacher and did a 2-year tryout, kids were driving me craaaazy. Finally I found my true calling, I really wanted to be a bi-lingual interpreter at the U.N. (I know you'll have your way with that one lol) but family responsibilities got in the way *sigh* so I had to stay in the rank and file of mere free-lance translator, wherever my services were required. I'm affordable :D thanks for the word sortacurious : )

Hey PM me and tell me about it, I want to be a "mere free-lance translator"!!
What language? I speak Italian ....

I wanted to be an author when I was 11, still will be :) But I have loads of other dreams too, I have TWELVE pages of goals... so far! My belief is that once a goal is written down, it has already been achieved. It works!:)

I wanted to be...

A Veterinarian...I was always wanting to fix my animals when they were sick so I figured it was the best Idea.

Now becoming a nurse is my dream and it is coming true.:)

Gosh, I wanted to be a model (i was sexy and thin DOH!), then a nurse, then a teacher, then just a mommy. :)

2 outta 4 aint bad! I was a teacher before I had my kids :)

ohh and now i wanna be a photographer and work on my writing.

I wanted to be a rock star...The women the money fame the whole thing..There is still a small part of me that wants that but I have settled for just playing in bands that probably will never make it out of the basement but it is more fun now than it used to be..:)

knightstalker

I here ya...I have made it out of the basement, but even if I hadn't, I would still be happy just knowing I love what I do.

Rock on!

Journalist, architect, computer engineer, doctor, and work within advertising. Those were the main ideas, but journalism kept creeping back all the time, so here I am now. :)

Yep, that was my dream. The older I got, the more the dream seemed to change until I finally realized that I just wanted to be a successful (success subject to interpretation) musician. Which, I think I am...so I guess the dream kind of came true...wow, I just realized that! lol.

Let me add, that thanks to VH1's behind the scenes...I'm really happy I didn't become a rock star.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Hey, congrats on making that dream! <writes a script for VH-1 to do on you, anyway...>

I wanted to be an architect, but my parents change my mind. So I started to school to be computer programmer. I drop out fast to get married, big mistake. I worked construction for many years and decided I would have made a good architect or engineer.
Hind sight is always 20/20. I'm happy with my present job, but still
wonder what could have been.

Yeah, I always wondered about being an architect too....I actually have a lot of "class-time" spent in it, and did two sets of full house plans....but I never did take it any further than that....

Ok i know im going to regret this but im gonna post, since i was so meanly pushed!:p But when i was younger i wanted to be an actress. I ended up a working at a bank, dealing with fraud!

So Harvey here it is gimme hell!

Oh....my....god.....

Where to start?!?!? :) Tabby, you're my new best friend..lol...it's like a playground of things to say! A nurse? Yeah, I'd do that too....'cept I didn't wanna make all the other nurses jealous of how I looked in the little white uniforms....<sighs wistfully> err, uhh...I mean...moving on. :) Teacher?!? Yipes! <has nowhere NEAR the patience for that...>

...and then there's the <coughs> bi-lingual interpreter.....<swoons>....let me just say, I've loved all the late-night cinemax movies you've done....lol :p :p ....but no, that's cool! Just think, you'd be right at the heart of politics! <has two years left on a poli sci degree, so he's probably a little biased on that one>

....oh, and as for the verrrry first line of yours.....phhhbbbttt...that's a secret... :p

That's great! Just remember - being a vet and a nurse are vewwwwy, vewwwwwy different...I don't wanna hear any tragic stories about "Oh, I thought he was having his tail docked!"...<cringes> ;)

I've seen ya floatin' around the boards, and hadn't had a chance to say that yet.... :) <marks off one of his goals for the day...hmmm, now where to find a football helmet full of jell-o....errr, don't ask..lol>

Sex Therapist

To try and understand why people don't want sex. Help them to fix their condition. Would have to do what would have been needed from me. And this was after I got married. I did want to be a nurse, took the test, when to pay for the school, but they were out for lunch and never when back. What was I thinking of, I should have went back.

It's never, ever too late.....just a thought. ;)

From high school on, I wanted to be a teacher. I had visions of making a difference in the lives of kids. I was idealistic and full of what some would call pie in the sky ideologies.

It's been 16 years since I taught my first class. I'm still idealistic and and my educational ideologies have served me well.
I can't imagine doing any thing other than teaching. There are days when I wanna scream at the end of them, but those are few. For me, I can't think of any other field that would give me the sense of satisfaction that teaching does.
So, I'm doing exactly what I always wanted to do.

No, it's more likely that you CAN write! If anyone criticised you, it's cause they know you are better than them at writing!
Which goals would you like?
Eating strawberries out of a girl's :p ....
Running along a beach in Thailand...
Teaching self loving lessons to a room full of naked women...
Owning a four bedroomed beach house in New Zealand...
(These are all in my twelve pages, just a little 'taster' for you)
Go ahead and share my goals, just as long as we both achieve them, I am quite happy to share!:)
