What do you get out of nudity?

But you're still suggesting that researchers and scientists know better but nonetheless recommend sunscreen b/c it's profitable. And again, I'd call this reckless skepticism. Two things can be true: 1) There are populations that suffer from skin cancer at a lower rate and Researchers can't quite account for it. 2) The use of sunscreen is incontrovertibly associated with reducing the rate of Melignant Melanoma - a dangerous cancer that spreads around the body and kills people. These two statements are not mutually exclusive.

Put simply: If >95% of Board Certified Dermatologists - who understand the possible dangers of chemical exposure from sunscreen - are STILL slavering their OWN children in sunscreen before sending them off to summer camp or the pool club...and wear it themselves before golfing or playing tennis... It's a fair bet that you and I should be too.

Yes.. Agreed. And that ounce of prevention is an ounce of Sunscreen. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends a sunscreen with an SPF rating of 30 or higher. ..It's much cheaper and more effective than treating Melanoma.
Hey...im not trying to convert u...u do u. We can agree to disagree. Why have people lost that concept?

And I'm not trying to convert u...u do u. ..Nor am not trying to win an argument with you just to be a dick... I am peristing with this because there might be others who read your comments and think, "Ahh.. maybe he's right - maybe sunscreen IS a hoax. Maybe I won't use it anymore, or put it on my kids."

Live's are negatively affected by misinformation - and I"m sorry, but suggesting sunscreen causes more harm than good is misinformation. Agreeing to disagree may be the polite thing to do but society is better off if people tactfully call out misinformation when they see it.

Anyways..apologies to JenniZinc for derailing the thread.

For me it's freedom and self-confidence. As a girl, and then a woman, who grew up hating her body it has taken me many, MANY years to be comfortable being totally nude. Now that I am, I don't mind if others aren't as comfortable about it as I am.

Plus, this might be the fashion of the future so we all better get use to seeing skin not as a sexual invitation but as our evolutionary integration with technology.:)

Primal energy. A vulnerability and openness. A baring of self and a connection outside of norms. It’s the taboo and the excitement

I go to a nudist camp a few times during the summer. I just like the feeling of being naked outdoors. I was very reluctant to go at first because I'm completely shaved and have a very small penis (one woman referred to it as a clit), but my therapist finally talked me into it. I went and it was great. While there I go swimming, walk the hiking trails, and read. I'm glad she kept encouraging me to go.

I'm curious about this ....... does being naked outside feel sexual?

Almost 13 years ago I bought a farm/winery and moved there with my partner. He has no interest in agriculture, as he's a music video editor and works indoors. He also has a funny attitude to nudity, he'll happily have a skinny dip with me in our pool, but will wrap a towel around himself on the way back to the house. We have no neighbours in view, so it's totally private!

Over the years I have gradually embraced a naked lifestyle. To me it feels healthy and natural. Between spring and early autumn, I will head out into the paddocks wearing nothing but a pair of gumboots and a hat (and loads of sunscreen as I'm blonde and fair skinned).

I mostly work a reasonable way from the house, so it's just me and nature .... I bring a drink bottle, but there's no toilet, so I have to make do where possible. I end up totally filthy by day's end, but hey, there's no clothes to wash!

Things have become interesting in the past. Sometimes trades people will show up unannounced. I find it easier to either hide out in the field, or just pretend there's nothing to see here, walk past them into the house and put some clothes on. I will make a funny comment about being sprung and it's good for a laugh.

In Australia we harvest grapes in the warmer months so at times we have seasonal workers, mostly from overseas (although none during COVID, it was impossible finding people). It's nothing for them to show up on Monday instead of Wednesday, so I have often been caught out in the vines.

It's got the the point that I'm so immune to the feeling that I will sometimes just continue to work with them around me as though nothing's happened. They probably are trying to figure out why a pale, plump, middle-aged woman is trying to achieve!

And in case your wondering, none of them had ever stripped off with me (even though there's a few Brazilian guys that I could have done with) 😅

Purist 'naturists' will say nudity has nothing to do with sexuality. Not me. Being honest it makes me absolutely horny, even the thought of it. I don't know why as 99% of the time, nobody can see me.

And here's me now half wondering what I'm even expecting from writing this. Temps have dropped for the next few days, and I'm really worked up, wondering whether I'll need to rug up today or brave it!
I enjoy the freedom of it. As you say, it truly does feel more natural and it can be very calming. Beyond that, I also agree with your sentiment that it turns me on, even if no one is around. I sometimes feel bad when I feel myself getting hard and turned on in these moments, but there’s something about it…I appreciate you sharing your experience!

Thanks, I'm not worried about my thread being derailed, as everyone here would know I am very pro sunscreen. I'm not blessed with skin that tans, so sun protection is a big thing for me. I have always been in wonderment of how a cream or liquid that blends in transparent is effective to preventing sun damage, and in fact some brands have been called to account for mislabeling of ingredients.

I have always trusted zinc as it's purely covering and reflective, there is no secret to how it works. However I'm not planning on covering my entire body in zinc, so therefore I do use regular sunscreen 50 SPF on most of my body.

The real proof I see is that it works is quite simple - any bit I miss gets sunburnt!

Is the body in the pic you? I'm not sure I get the sci-fi image or what it represents. If anything I find that over the last 40 years nudity has become less acceptable. On the rare occasion I go to a nude beach, most people are well into their 50's or well older.
