What feeds your soul?

sorry i'm late to the party but that's indeed great news, SJ: i know you've been worried. :>

After a challenging fortnight my oldest had a good report at her school parent's evening.

She has a reading age of 10.6 & spelling of 10.2 and she's 7.9 and couldn't read at all until a year ago. :)

I cant really think of anything
I ask myself this and similar questions nearly everyday
I guess I'm living for the hope I can finaly get out of here and become finacialy selfsuficent and possibly finaly that that fundemental change I know I need to make but never can seem to do it...

To All Non-Pet Owners Who Visit & Like to Complain About Our Pets:

1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. (That's why they call it "fur"niture.)
3. I like my pets a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

Remember: In many ways, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
1. Eat less
2. Don't ask for money all the time
3 Are easier to train
4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don't hang out with drug-using friends
7. Don't smoke or drink
8. Don't have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don't want to wear your clothes
10. Don't need a "gazillion" dollars for college.

And finally,

11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.

A dear friend of mine who props me up when I need a little extra boost of energy/strength/wisdom.

This made me laugh so hard, I almost fell off my chair, and it is very true.

I have to agree, non-pet owner but this was very very funny.
Although have to disagree with half of number 7. If you put a beer down anywhere in my brothers house it was guaranteed that the dog would have it. Or bite you if you try to get it back. Parties at his house were always an interesting even with a drunk dog running around burping beer at everyone;)

Well going to bed really late, and waking up to find you don't have to go to work today so you can sit around with your cat on a rainy day watching daytime tv.

WFMS. . .

My four year old. She's even shyer than my oldest daughter, but she may be coming out of her shell. This evening, she did something that I know had to be really tough for her, and I'm so proud of her right now.

My six-year old. She did a most excellent job of playing the mother hen and helping her little sister. It's because of her that things went well.

Having another person rely and bare their soul to me, and you know how hard it is for them to let anyone in. I just want to sweep them up and hug them tight.

reconnecting with a very old, very dear friend. even in all its unhealthiness and confusion it was pure bliss. i sincerely hope that everyone has someone in their life like we have each other. :)

and a  and :rose: for you babe.

What feeds my soul asides an almost never ending supply of java?

Friends, without them, I'd be even more messed up then I am now.
Music and my guitar, after a lame day, it's amazing how much better music can make it.
My animals, ferrets and guinea pigs, very strange critters.
My art, and the occasional disturbing image to scare off prying eyes XD

Phil Collins. Or is it Colins? Damn I can't spell.
two "L's" NB. btw, genesis is reuniting (at least banks, rutherford and collins) for a tour that, according to collins, will focus on the "other side of the band" that wasn't so top-40-ish. i think it's purely a european tour but i suspect it'll expand if history is any indicator. i'm personally looking forward to it as i always preferred those pieces to the "invisible touch," and "land of confusion" type of things. give me "i know what i like" and "afterglow/cinema show" any time and i'm a happy camper.

WFMS...

* Long phone calls with lots of good stuff like laughter, caring words and honesty. :rose:

* Making headway... seeing the countertop kind of headway.

Yes, so far the announced dates have been for a European tour, visit the Genesis website for more info. Gabriel has stated he isn't keen on doing the reunion and I'm fairly confident that will not change. Hackett has also declined.

GENESIS REUNION
"First of all I would like to congratulate Tony, Mike and Phil for flying the flag once again. Good luck to them and I really hope they have a very successful tour.
I was originally approached to discuss the possibility of a five piece which would have included Peter Gabriel and yours truly but since Peter’s schedule precludes this it makes sense for the other three to celebrate the brand in their ‘own special way’ as it were ...."
Personally I intend to try for tickets having been an avid fan since Gabriel days. I shall be holding out for Entangled & Firth of Fifth amongst others.

good luck... i hope you get to see it. i'm holding out hope for a video release. even if they come to the US there really aren't any venues near me so they might as well just stay in europe. lol.

firth of fifth was fantastic... there must be a performance of the knife if they really want to revisit their roots.

WFMS is that i finally... FINALLY have a finished product for this big, giant project i've been working on. it's so nice to see the top of my desk again... i was wondering if it was still there or if i was just working on top of a mound of papers.
