What feeds your soul?

Dancing to the Beatles at 1 in the morning. By myself.

Morning BG---your post made me smile (a big one too).

The other day I found myself gyrating to Justin Timberlake's~Sexy Back--by myself too. I felt so sexy even though I was all alone. Then I was a bit sexually frustrated.

What feeds my soul was a quick telephone call because he said he wanted to just hear my voice.

I've been recently reminded that what I do is important. We had an excellent guest speaker at our staff Christmas breakfast and he has caused me to do a lot of reflection the past couple of days. I'm blessed to have had many wonderful teachers in my life, encouraging me along the way. I just hope I can be the same type of teacher to my students. :)

That is really cool bg!

Congrats Den, it is so wonderful to see your posts :rose:

It's so good to see you too. I'm hoping I can see more of everyone while I'm on work hiatus these next 8 or 9 days.

I saw your Rainbow Bridge post on Misha's thread on the GB. That has always been a great comfort to me, that I share with others who have lost pets. I'm sure it was a great help to her and others who saw it there. :rose:

To relax ...

a long drive on the interstate. Slow groovin' music, windows down ... imagery is everything. The mountains, trees maybe a bitta snow. Anything in nature. Just an awesome way to let go and be free ...

At home ...

candles everywhere. Long bubble bath, slow music, a glass of wine just slide down into those bubbles and float away ~

just me~

Having friends over for Christmas and New Years to eat, drink, hang-out, rag on each other :D, and feel a lot of good vibes and love.

Like you, I love a bubble bath with a few drops of aromatic oil. Candles, a glass of wine, soothing music and sometimes a good read.

For me, wandering off into an unknown place with only my cameras. I figuratively get lost for a few hours with only the next shot to occupy my attention.

Seeing someone give caring thoughts regardless of the consequences.

My very, very poorly feline raising a purr after making it through another day when each day could be her last.

Thanks ed. I actually thought she'd died on Christmas night but somehow my moving her restarted her heart and breathing, so she really is on borrowed time now.

oh phaedre, I'm so sorry that your feline is near the end of her life with you. She's obviously very well-loved. I hope that you will be able to give that love to another pet in the not-too-distant future. They should all be so loved.

WFMS: My loving cats, my super soft socks that keep my feet warm, a cup of hot chocolate, a chat with a friend, and breakfast & shopping with my buddy.

But today my soul was truly fed by another call from the man I love.

So often, the unconditional love that my dogs give me. The one really likes to lay her head on my leg while I am at the computer. It is comforting.

Today it was as simple as sitting in the same room with my guy. It doesn't matter if we're deep in conversation or sitting in silence, I find such peace with this man.

I dreaded giving certain news to my dear friend as I thought she'd be overwhelmed with sadness. To my surprise, she took the news and turned it into something beautiful. :rose:

Watching as some birds playfully bathed in an unexpected shower of water.

Sience fiction! What can I say - I'm a geek, but I love Star Wars....

Woohoo! You're not alone. :nana:  :D

I've been tinkering with a anime-based game on the PS2 I got last month. :cathappy: :cathappy: :cathappy: :cathappy:

you...you know who you are, you give me the strength to face the world and tell them to fuck off. You make me tingle when I least expect it and and hug me when i most need it.

My sister's test results coming back with no further suspicious masses and the medics reassurances that her cancer is treatable.
