what is worst to be called a sex toy or a pet.

Tsk, tsk....to be hoisted on one's own petard isn't the most comfortable thing, is it? :p

missing a ' now and again isn't nearly as ridiculously, glaringly irritating as confusing 'worse' and 'worst.' Every time I read the title of this thread it annoys me.

Same here, but I like the company. :rose:

First...it is worse....

Comparing two things, which is worse? Comparing more then two...which is the worst. :) sorry, I am an ESL teacher...

as for the topic....its kinda one of those things that you cant vote on, when my Master says "How is my dirty slut" when I am in my collar, I could pass out with pleasure, when I am in a snuggly sub-fall out stage (dunno what that is called, when you kinda crash and are clingy tired) and he might say that, I would cry...that is when he uses the soft names.

To me it depends on when they are said :)

Sex toy doesn't necessarily mean that there are no feelings there. True, pet is a more softer term. But when Master calls me His fuck toy, I know He still loves me. He's just in that "I'm horny, gonna call You what I want, however I want" mood. I adore every name He calls me. Even the ones that I would have slapped someone else for saying before. When He says them, I feel all happy and loved...or hot and turned on, depending on the name. But I *am* very attached to little one/pet and dirty little slut. :D

This may just be me, but my top never really uses nasty names on me just *does* things that make me feel like a fuck toy. Or a pet. Or whatever. If he started calling me slut or thing or whatever I'm not sure it would add value.

Which is much more effective and disorienting on me, because calling people nasty names is my style, I love it so. Simply being poked with my own stick wouldn't be as much fun as some other one I can't really pull out myself.

I kind of relayed that in my post below and I certainly did not mean that the term held no feeling. I should have said "in addition to saying that He/She cares for you, in whichever way defines your relationship, He/She is also saying that you are a god/goddess in the bedroom".......Different name/different game. They are both extremely meaningful words, IMO.

Oh, I understand what you said. :) I was directing my post more toward a couple others in this thread.

Has anyone found that they answer to names other than their own more then they do to their own name? I mean, just the ones that come to mind, I answer to poppet, pet, sex toy, sex poppet, whore, slut, cunt, bitch, and so on and so on.

And you know what, every time it doesn't fail to make me quiver.

I have to agree with you here Harlot. Whatever Master calls me, I answer to...with bells on and a quiver and tingle:D Master even teases me that most anything he calls me turns me on...YEP!

I don't care what he calls me, though I do love the more 'derogatory' terms during play. I don't care because I know without question that I am loved, respected and cherished. I think that sometimes people can have trouble with being called a 'sex toy' or whatever because they worry it will distort the PYL's view of them and corrode their respect for the pyl over time. I know and have complete trust that this is not true in my case, so he can call me what he likes. If anyone else tried to talk to me that way, they'd get a large chunk of my mind. This is just my view and my experience, it's not to suggest that everyone who dislikes 'derogatory' names has trust issues with their PYL.

I have to agree with this completely, Velvet, and have the same feelings. I know Master loves, respects and cherishes me and the things he calls me don't change any of that in any way at all.

IMO, it just adds depth to our relationship because Master calls me his slut, cunt and whore with as much love and respect as he calls me his wife and pet.

If I call a woman a "nasty" name during or before sex, it's probably because that's how I'm thinking of her in terms of my needs. It's never intended to be insulting because in my mind, these are things that I have high praise for, and I am thankful that i have a (for example) slut to take care of my needs.

Come here, slut = I'm going to do dirty things to you when you get here. Let's see what kind of depravity you are capable of.

Come here, pet = I want to pet you and make you purr. I just want to get off on finding out how good I can make you feel.

Come here, my little sex toy = I plan to use you for my own pleasure without regards to your needs. So far, I am not very good at this one, I need to work on it.

Get over here, bitch = I don't want to argue anymore. We're going to work out the tension with a little grudge fucking.

I think the perfect sub would understand inherently what was expected of her by the way I address her. I've noticed it can be a little risky to try this on a 'regular' girl.

and I can't imagine a TV programme called Auf Wiederscehen Sex Toy:D

Since others have been discussing grammar and spelling, I'll add my 0.025 and point out that it's "Auf Wiedersehen", not "Auf Wiederscehen".

To the OP, well.. It's all a question of who and when. Of context.
But I have a special fondness for being her pet, because she's the only one to ever have called me pet. :rose:

A Pet needs to be taken care of, fed, and treated like offspring, whereas a Toy is something everyone wants to play with-I love being called either one.

OMG you split an infinitive!!!!!!!!!! The world's going to Hell in a handcart!

i'd agree with this completely. it's usually what i read into what i hear anyway. guess that makes me the perfect sub! where's my blue ribbon?

I agree with the term "worthless" or "ugly" being one of the worst things he could call me. "Stupid" would be the be all end all of my self esteem though. I pride my brains more than my breasts any day.

With the modern day accessibility of plastic surgery, you don't have to be BORN pretty, but as Ron White said, "You can't fix stupid."

He has a few pet names for me, none really that BDSM-y.

Megpie is the most common pet name he has for me. I call him papabear or daddy.

My dom and me was talking about what was worst to be called. i think it's worst to be a call sex toy then pet because a pet you love and care about. where as a sex toy it's only there to have sex with. so i wanted to ask everyone and see what you think.

Master rarely calls me by my given name. The majority of the time, even in public around my family etc.. it's pet. Other times fuck toy, dolly, little girl, cunt, whore, bitch, etc, etc.. I'm happy with any of them. I tend to prefer the nastier ones, but I have a huge emotional masochist streak, and a little thing for humiliation. That's just me.

.....................................ARGH!!

It's 'worse' not 'worst'!!

Syd, my OCD loves you.

The opening should have read "My dom and I" not "My dom and me".

Glaring grammar issues = my brain going *meltdown*

Well if we're gonna be like that...

It should be "My Dom and I were...", not "My Dom and I was..."

I've started to dislike the way that people who post on this board - especially new people - often get attacked for their ignorance.

Using less-than-perfect grammar is not a hanging offence. Neither is being bad at spelling. Using good grammar and knowing how to spell don't make you A Good Person.

Woohoo for you if you're lucky enough to have received a better-than-average education or to have been blessed with a higher-than-average IQ. Can't you just enjoy what you have? Are you really so insecure that you need to try and humiliate others just to prove to all us strangers out here in the ether that you understand a little bit about grammar?

Hold up there Cattypuss, I don't think anyone is trying to humiliate anyone because they are insecure, and as far as I know, no one has been hanged on this board yet for misspellings or bad grammar. No one needs to prove anything, nor are they trying too.

BUT think about it... you are on Literotica, Literature that is erotic. Most of the people on this site are writers of one form or another. Proper use of grammar and proper punctuation and spelling are important to us.
So when someone posts in a manner that irritates, they are bound to have it brought to their attention. That is just the way it is here, this is a Literary site.
Spell check programs are free and readily available. There is plenty of info on the proper use of language and the proper use of the written word available on this site' as well.

I am a high school dropout, but I have always tried to improve myself by seeking out resources and learning from them, and teaching myself. I have enough self respect to give a shit about how others read me.

People need to also stop and think that there are people posting on these boards who's first language is NOT English. I agree with Cattypuss... it is rude.

Adakgirl, I understand what you're saying but I still don't feel there is any need for any of us to criticise others' command of English - especially when there is no difficulty in understanding the meaning of what they have posted.

For what it's worth, I am a full-time staff writer and editor at a large publishing house. I can spot bad grammar at 100 paces with one eye closed.

I can also understand what the OP in this thread was trying to say - so why make an issue about the OP's use of language? What does it achieve? The OP didn't come here looking for an English lesson.

I'm not trying to start a fight. I just feel for the people who post on this board in good faith, looking for information on BDSM, and who then get attacked for their use of language.
