Slightly different take on the thread subject. I am thinking of the media type(s) that I like. For example (in order of preference):
  • Black and white still photos can have the most impact on me. Triggers the imagination.
  • Color still photos similarly.
  • GIF's unless they are too frenetic.
  • Video is least favorite to me, as it leaves too little to the imagination.
  • And then there is the written story which can be quite powerful. I usually have a story and images on my screen in one session.
On the other hand, types I dislike:
  • Images that have captions. I prefer that the image tell its own story, although sometimes a caption can have an impact.
