What made you smile or laugh today? Part III

Had the best day yesterday. Got to have lunch with a dear friend and catch up. It had been way too long. Had the biggest smile on my face all day. Not sure if it was from seeing my friend or due to getting a ride with the top down. :D:heart:

Feeling winter in the air.

I don't love the cold and the wet, but there's a feeling I get every year around this time when the world seems different and I feel a different kind of... mood, atmosphere, emotion?

We have a parliamentary election around the corner and there are all kinds of debates and interviews on TV.

Now they're having kids interview the politicians and this is the best thing ever. Finally the politicians are forced to use normal words and actually give an answer! And the questions are relevant too and many of them arise from the conversation rather than the kids just asking questions they've been told to ask.

More this, less stuck up debates with timers and rehearsed speeches.

Edit: Also, we sprung forward and all is well in my world again. It was annoying to try to figure out the times, even if they were just one hour off the usual. Finally the Lit time stamps match my reality!

For a fleeting moment today I was sure the date is 4 May instead of 5 April, and for that fleeting moment I was very happy.

Almost like that one time in high school when I for a tiny moment felt like the summer vacation is just around the corner and it was September.

I got called in to help out with an emergency project at work a couple of weeks back. After lots of shenanigans (including me not being able to run the necessary software for a week!) we finally got it working at 4 pm yesterday, on the day it was due :)

And, I also finished a big project for my side job yesterday. So now I have a weekend with nothing hanging over me, for the first time in months... now I have to remember what it is that I like doing with free time.

Someone is pulling out old Alt accounts. They have dust and cobwebs on them even. Put those things away and just be you. Smh

I solved the New York Times Saturday crossword in under 18 minutes without having to guess a single letter!

It's official, I'm now at the top of my crossword prowess and it can only be downhill from here. But for today, rejoice and drink beer!

Encountering a very useful concept: "civil religion". Covers a bunch of stuff that I'd been thinking about but didn't have the tools to articulate.

I really need to find some smiles, so let's see.

Beautiful, sunny weather.
Beer.
Being right about something big.
Good feedback on the first draft of my thesis.
Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Chocolate egg that's excited to be devoured by me on Sunday.

Sounds orgasmic.
