What made you smile or laugh today? Part III

At one of the larger marches yesterday. Ours didn't have much obscenity or sketchy language of any kind that I could see, unlike the people-sized vaginas (costumes) that apparently were a art of the DC event. My favorite message showed up on a tee shirt, so I suppose it's widely available was this: "You think I was nasty before? Buckle up, Buttercup!"

Spent the day in urgent care only to be told I don't have pneumonia or a blood clot.

But I don't have pneumonia or a blood clot, so there's that.

An unexpected hug.

:rose: :)

Hope you're feeling better soon :rose:

Went for my first run of the year and survived :D

Getting GF advice...

On how to put up a retractable clothesline so I can hang my sheets and pillowcases out to dry.

A woman that believes feminism ruined society and her life. Too funny.

the march I attended was hopeful and without any nasty tone at all. It was urgent and spirited, but no ugliness. There were some hilarious signs. Very few that referenced Trump by name or the "not my President" ilk.
for a town of 60K - we had 10K+ in attendance.

This was one of my favorite reproductive themed signs.

along with this one - which made me laugh for its cleverness:

If some jerk tried to control my daughters in this matter. Their mother and I raised them to think for themselves.

I have long said that if men could get pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament.

and, I am a woman who still goes to church... so I do not say this to piss off the church people. honest. I just think that if you do not have a uterus you really do not get to legislate about these things. If you do not want to have an abortion - great. do not have one. Ever. But keep your laws off my body, thank you very much. Besides - these are private decisions that belong between intimate partners and in consultation with medical staff. PRIVATE....
Government OUT OF MY GODDAMN bedroom.

*rant over*

Exactly!

I went to a goddam war for freedom. And I wasnt thinking it was for men only.

Overheard at the nursing home:

Resident on phone: please don't spoil the hamster while I'm away.

It's good you don't have the bad things, but sorry to hear you felt bad enough to go to urgent care :rose:

What made me smile today? Reading about, and seeing, the record numbers of protests worldwide repudiating the current political darkness descending over the USA. I didn't realize just how down I have been, and now can see a glimmer of light beginning to dawn :)
A truly historical day !

Unfortunately, many of the men with the most power in our government right now seem to disagree with you. They think that your service was about them and their interests and not the women or the brown people or the Muslims or the immigrants or the poor.
