My 18 year old stepdaughter came out of the closet this past year and chose me to talk to for months before deciding to do so. I never told a soul until she was ready and she made sure I was there, holding my hand as she finally got the courage to "come out" to her family last Thanksgiving. I'm also the ONLY one that her partner will speak to about wanting to transition with HRT treatment. Her parents want nothing to do with her now and I feel honoured and privileged to be the one person that can be there for her.

So before you throw anymore jibes my way, and assume I'm just another clueless, genetic male homosapien, think about that, wont you. And stop dissecting every thing I say on this site.
