Just a question, is this being enforced once again? It was - Then it sorta wasn't - Then it just wasn't - is it back again? I have violated the rule in the past in other threads as I had seen it not being enforced.

Some time ago someone suggested that if the photo was just linked here then it was not a violation as it was not hosted at Lit and the owners were more-or-less in the clear.

Guidance please. Thanks. I like this place and don't want to be tossed, just punished a little

No it's not. The rule you linked bans uploading this kind of image to Literotica's servers. It doesn't prohibit linking to an image stored on somebody else's server, which is what happened here. If you check the URL for that image you'll see it's stored on Tumblr, not Literotica.

The policy isn't about preventing people from seeing sexually explicit photos on the forums. It's about protecting Literotica from issues with 18 USC 2257, which requires sites hosting that kind of image to keep records proving that the models are over 18. This is spelled out in Lit's 2257 notice:

Literotica.com is fully exempt from 18 U.S.C. section 2257 because the site publishes text and audio stories only, not sexually explicit photographs or videos. Any photographs or videos offered on these servers are non-sexually explicit (as defined in 18 U.S.C section 2256) or totally non-nude.

Any sexually explicit pictures or videos offered to Literotica.com members are done so by linking to third party websites and are not hosted on these servers. Questions about 2257 issues for sites linked from this website should be directed to those third parties.

One of my major shortcomings is that I am no more likely to read a set of rules than I am to read the instructions when I buy a new toaster.
