Why are some people rotten?

ok

life is full of rotten mean people and a few nice ones that make living worth it.so smile and bare all.:rose:

I leave all comments on my stories unless they are criticizing someone else. There is no way I'd let one of my friends get cut down. But I find it funny most of the time to see what people think will hurt. I agree, pms time is no time to read comments.

Oh and welcome, good luck with your stories.

Trolls...

are just a fact of life as mentioned here before. B U T, whatever the case, DO NOT respond to a troll comment. Doing so will just bring down all hell down upon the writer from the troll being addressed and from his cowardly collegues in crime. That usually brings the one bomb votes and they know how to vote more than once. I know from bitter experience. Like some other writers, I leave my troll comments up for the amusement of others--after the anger, the comments are amusing. I will delete them if they cut someone else down in the process. Keep writing and allow the troll comments to roll off like rainwater.

HotRed69XX,

Why are some people rotten, you ask? Because some A-holes just have to make themselves feel good by tearing someone down.

It’s not just here but everywhere.

Here's some unsolicited advice:

1. Never let the a-holes get you down.
2. Ignore anonymous negative feedback.
3. If the majority of your feedback is positive, BELIEVE IT.
4. Come out here to the Discussion Boards ask for FEEDBACK under that section and...LISTEN and REGAIN your perspective from any response that you get from DkSideoftheMoon; Jenny Jackson, DanielleKitten; SelenaKitten, and others LIKE them. They are writers; they will give you positive or negative feedback on the boards. They are reliable, honest and fair.
5. Learn, while you're in the process of learning to write; to accept that there will be a-holes out there that just have to be rotten by nature. It will never matter to them what you write and not everyone will like what you write. Heck I don't like some of the books by Tom Clancy, one of my favorite authors.
6. Craft you stories to what you like to write about until your better equipped to write outside of your comfort zone (or just stay in your comfort zone forever if that is what you wish). If you’re not comfortable it will show in your work.
7. Practice will always make you better. (Tell me I'm wrong)
8. Revise, revise and revise. And have an editor check your work. Studies have shown from a proofreading class that I took years ago stated that 3% of errors will always be missed; it’s human. Always have someone else proofread to help find that 3%.
9. HAVE FUN with your writing.
10. Repeat items 1-10 until you don't let the a-holes get to you.

P.S. Great birthdate BTW!!

The reason for the ability to post comments is to help the writer. That is what this site wishes for its members. But there are a lot of people, who in their own right are not writers, but feel they have to run someone down who is trying. Most don't even put their name down because they don't have the guts to and because they are afraid people might look their stories up if they are able to put more than a couple of words together and find out they cann't write. So don't pay attention to them. The people who make comments to aide you, point out ways to improve or give you a thumbs up are usually the ones who are the best writers on this site and are more than willing to help another writer. Write off the jerks and thank the good people is the best thing to do. Keep up the good work.
