ya know.. I used to be REALLY impressed with the title "Literotica Guru" especially when the thread next to it was filled with intellectual insight or sage advice. I guess it was the BB virgin in me.. so naive.

How quaint to see 2 of our most prominent "Guru's" post so close to each other. Nicole the flirtaholic and Lasher the .. ummm lasher. *sigh* Is this what we smaller people have to look forward to in our "Guru" days? Maybe the key is the longer it takes to achieve the esteemed title the wiser the Guru?

I understand that the flirting can be annoying at times, but I also remember a time (not so long ago) when certain people were all pissed off at a certain opinionated poster (Lasher), saying that his posts "ruined" the site. I'll say now what I said then - the board is never ever going to be 100% what you want. Live and fucking let live. I know it sucks, but that's the truth. People come here for different reasons. It's a SEX site, for christ's sake! It's supposed to be fun! Yes, there's been a lot of giddy flirting, but you know what's getting more annoying than the flirting? The rampant whining about how the board sucks because of the flirting!

Look... If you want the right to talk about whatever you want to talk about, then you must understand that others have that right, too. This constant "these people ruin the board" stuff is just killing me! I can ignore the flirting if I'm not in the mood, but complaints like this are the kind of thing I feel I have to pay some attention to because I want the board to be fun for all, yet at the same time they're completely non-constructive because the all boil down to "we should get rid of this person/group of people/type of post because it irritates me". C'mon! Grow a skin! Act like the intelligent adults that I know you all are!

I'm just a little ill of the whining about other people on the board. It's been going on for over a month now. First, it was the Lashraloo incidnet, and now it's the flirting thing. What are we going to bitch about next? There's the $60,000 question! I have an idea - how about we DISCUSS something besides how much other people here annnoy us for a change? Wouldn't THAT be novel?

Okay now admitedly this question is not just aimed at Savage.

What the hell do all you people want? No seriously here I need to know.

A newbie comes to the Board and starts a thread (important to them) it goes like this :-

"Do you like anal sex?" or "What is your Favorite Position" or "Sexual Fantasies" so forth and so forth, The response

:- "This thread has been done to death" "Your flogging a dead horse" "do your research this has been done before go read ____________ ".

What the hell do you people want to talk about???

I guess what I am trying to say is that this is indeed a SEX site, where people with a SEXual appitite come to talk about SEX. That is why I am here. I don't come here to talk politics (I would go to a political board for that) and not only that I as an Australian I really don't know anything about American or European Politics, just as alot of you know nothing about Australian Politics. I love a serious talk just as much as the next person, and as I stated in my last post on here, I don't beleive I have ever entered a serious thread and flirted. It's just that sometimes it is fun to flirt.

Another thing :- I never did like the title "Literotica Guru" so I have hit over 500 posts, I did most of that before the new names were given out. I have to say that I would be just as proud of the name "Member" as "Literotica Guru". I have been thinking of a name for when I hit 1000, I even asked a couple of people what they thought of "Board Slut" as that would make alot of people here happy. I have now decided that when I do finally get to 1000 I am going to be called "Member, and a happy one at that".

Like Laurel has said before "You want a serious thread, Start one". I have promised to keep my flirting down to a minimum, but I won't stop completely. I have to much fun, but I also know not to enter someone's thread when they are screaming out for help or advice and do that.

As for Lasher, well look he, as is everyone else, is aloud to say what they are feeling and thinking, if YOU (that goes for anyone) don't like it, DON'T READ IT.

and someone said earlier about people getting on the newbies asses for kickin a dead dog, so to speak. I was (and still am) a 'newbie' and i didn't realize there was a way for you to search specific topics from the BB archives? I just recently figured out you could see the past topics of individual members. This place really is great.. I'd just hate to see it break down into cliques that no newbie could ever hope to fit into.
