Wolven Den

Zanpaku-tou is from Bleach. I believe the closest translation is Soul Slayer. It's the sword of a Shinigami, a Death God. What the dub refers to as Soul Reapers. They have two stages of spiritual release. Shikai, first stage, and Bankai, second stage.

I've seen you mention Bleach quite often. Going by American movies ratings, what would you give it...G, PG, PG13 etc?

Movie ratings don't apply, since it's a tv series. If you watch it uncut, I'd say MA. Lots of blood and violence. And Yoruichi has a habit of making perverse jokes at Ichigo's expense.

Thank you, that helps. I was considering if it was something my son might enjoy. He is very into anime and such things. He took over my Netflix list and added something called Helsing. *grins* Not sure what that's about yet.

*considers for a moment, then puts the harisen fan away* I suppose it's okay then. Let's see. At that age, some anime I'd recommend. Anything Gundam (Especially Universal Century series. The sets from Alternate Century tend to not be as good, though the animation is superior). Patlabor is a good one (Patrol Labor. Giant robots used by a police division in Japan in the near future). I hesitate to recommend Ghost in the Shell, as there is a lot of nudity and such involved in the movies. The series has much less nudity, but...

Blood+ is a good series. Magic Knight Rayearth. Record of Lodoss War. Star Ocean EX. Robotech (and the recent movie, Shadow Chronicles, a sequel to the series). Trinity Blood isn't bad. Vampire Hunter D perhaps, though that one can be a bit iffy. Avoid Ninja Scroll for a few years. Initial D is good. Ikkitousen's a good series, but it's total eye candy. Most of the main characters are women. They fight...lots of clothing lost. No editing out of nipples or anything like that. A few sex scenes.

the various Tenchi series are good. Guyver: Bio Booster Armor is a good show.

Wow, thank you. With summer vacation here it won't hurt to have some new things to keep him occupied when he's in the house. His favorite game right now is something called Phantasy Star Universe. I have to admit to actually getting caught up in the story and characters.

*shudders* I preordered that game. When it came out, I got 30 dollars back from what I put down on it. I should have known right then and there. It isn't worth what I spent on it.

We bought it used off ebay and he's pretty happy with it. And the female characters keep mostly clothed. One incident of him calling me into the room to point at something on the telly screen and say "Look..anime-boobies!" as he fell over laughing was enough for me.

I originally bought it because it was advertised as "A return to the style of the classic Phantasy Star series". Every ad for it was bullshit. It was nothing like any of the Phantasy Star games. It took the best qualities of Phantasy Star Online and threw them out.

Oh well. I have to admit the plot was enough to keep my attention until unlocking Moatoob.

Ah, that would explain it then. You were a fan of the classic version and then this came out and was nothing like it. I feel similar when I watch a movie that is a remake of one I really liked. Only to find they've changed so much they might as well have given it a completely different title.

*sighs* If you will pardon me, it seems I need to go and reboot this beast of a machine.....

They pulled an M Night..... lol. I loved the original series. I loved PSO too. But Universe....well, I liked the idea of dual wielding weapons, and the introduction of bows. Most of the other additions to the game sucked though.

*morphs into dragon form midway through being pounced, and rolls with Luna until he's sitting triumphantly astride her chest* Hah hah hah hah hah *darts away a la Jackie Chan in Operation Condor*

Figures, Weaver would have to leave just before I got off work...

*sighs and wanders to the cushions Weaver had sat upon*

DId you at least keep her entertained, my dragon?

We had a fairly impressive conversation about anime and video games.

Speaking of which.....I keep trying to find a way to show you the writing I've been working on.

*Pausing at the entrance I can't help smiling as I stand silently watching Luna and dragon playing*

Lol. I've been trying to revise the intro to the Yoruichi one.

Scent: vanilla and musk. I pause to look toward the Den's entrance and see Weaver. A wide grin breaks over my face but I glance at dragon as he says

I want to see full scale Mobile Suit Gundam or Zoids RPGs.

Dude, I wish my son would come here...though I wouldn't wanna pervy RP with him it would be so friggin cool to read a Gundam thread with you two writing characters....

Turns to open my arms to Weaver

May I have a hug, sweet?

When I say RPG, I usually refer to video games << >>

*Padding over to where Luna sits on the cushions I sink down into her embrace, my cheek pressing softly aganst hers. I slip my arms around her waist, hands stroking her back*

You never have to ask twice....or once for that matter... *laughs and places a gentle kiss on her cheek*

When I think RPG I think real life role playing...like LARPing...or writing...not videos...

Grinning at Weaver, I wrap an arm around her waist and pull her closer to my side...

So you decided to visit me, hmmm?
