Know I"m merely a stupid girl, but why are you, a male, asking if another guy is posting in a thread named Women Kissing Women in a forum that's for Discussion of non-straight sexuality and life. Seems to me two guys posting lesbians kissing should be in the General Board. Don't hesitate to post how I"m wrong.

bunny4med please let me know if my post is out of line and you want me to erase it.

I'm sorry if I offended you, or seem to have intruded into a space that you didn't feel I should have been. The truth is that I like all pictures of people being turned on by other people, regardless of gender; it's a beautiful thing to see. That's why I, a heterosexual male, visit this forum. Maybe I should be repelled at the thought of two women ... or two men ... kissing, which is what Puritan culture trains us to do, but I just can't.

I thought that this forum was for pictures of Women Kissing Women, and when I saw this picture, I wanted to share it with people who like that sort of thing. Was that wrong? If so, I'll refrain in the future. Or maybe I should create a female alt ... would it be OK then?

And I wouldn't want to stifle any sincere discussion of GLBT issues. That's a valuable part of this forum, and of Lit in general. My feeling is that the more heterosexuals listen in on these discussions, the better understanding of them they'll have. And that will make them better people.

I just wanted you to understand where I'm coming from. I hope that there are no hard feelings.

Respectfully.

Usual billboard etiquette that have been around since the 80s.

The first line of a thread dictates the tone of the thread.

If the Intent of the owner of this lovely thread wanted to make it for girls only perhaps the tittle should have reflected it.

Something like “girls only post; girls kissing girls”

Since it does Explocitly excludes anyone, We are in a grey zone here.

chargergirl explained it to me the same way when I set-up FA&L-L&BW.

And my OP attracted scum from the get go. Ask all of the guys that helped defend the thread and me.

What's been happening:

Girls have been creating their threads in GLBT, then eventually guys start posting, .

Girls start leaving the threads due to all of the guys.

Guys take over the threads.

Now let’s see how gray zone has been working:

How many threads for girls are remaining? That guys don’t do the majority of the posting.

Count how many active females are participating, and their total posts.

How does it compare to number of guys and their posts.?

And that's acceptable as it's a gray zone?

Why is it a gray zone as the forum is named GLBT, and the thread’s names includes: girls, ladies or women? And yet, it’s a gray zone unless it’s specifically stated?

Yeah, the gray zone is the problem. Has nothing to do with some guys don’t care where or what they post, leaving handful of threads and approximately one dozen girls. After all there’s no reason to respect us, all that’s important is what some guys want.

Charger is correct in the interpretation.

Sadly, private groups are not supported with this billboard. But, the whole idea of a billboard is to foster a community of like minded individuals.

Will you have jerks?

Oh yeah, and I have witnessed some fine examples!

I think the basic is to be respectful and remind the rules for time to time. Hopefully, the nastygrams will be weeded out in the long run.

GLBT attracts a very wide audience including those interested wIt’s voyeurism and artistic. Some of these pictures, are truly magnificent with the usage of light.

For gray zones, I was referring to trans people (Pre op make to female) who kiss Other girls or other trans people. How do you deal with that?

Essentially, you will never be able to write enough rules for be exact kink you are targeting. There has to be a logical direction and mechanisms to bring the conversation back in line should it sway from its directional intent.

Best to have a very thoughtful subject line and be respectful of others should they post comments.

Nastygrams should not be tolerated, and the community should recognize the bad apples.

In my experience, I have found it best just to ignore them. The more you answer, the more you entice them to keep on posting and venting/defending their point of vue.

I always try to reach out in a PM, some, well intended people, really do not know that they are not following billboard etiquette.

As for me, I’ll keep on admiring beautiful women kiss. I even forward some links to my lesbian best friend. ;)

Respectfully yours,

V.
