Computer wise, I'm addicted to Zoo Tycoon and Risk. Zoo Tycoon kills me... "The gazelles are not happy" I gave them their own predator free savannah complete with watering hole!!! I'm gonna throw my lions in there, I think, then the lions will be happy! (No, the lions are not happy either, and neither are my tourists. But I think maybe if I threw a few tourists in with the lions, the lions would be happy and the tourists would quit complaining..)

Oh, you gotta download the cheats! They are so funny. My lover and her sons are addicted to Zoo Tycoon (and all the expansions), and my lover has Darth Vader wandering around her zoo, and free pop-corn stands, and if you name one of your tour guides "Rosalie" they all work for free, and all sorts. *chuckle*

Her son has this interesting habit of feeding things to the sharks -- lions, tigers, guests, etc. And then wonders why no one comes to his zoo...

Ateroids is a survival game -- i.e. survive as long as you can. You can't really "win" at it.

I have some of the cheats; I have some mythical animals and a friend of mine is working on a Steve Irwin Cheat. Oh sure, Steve-o can wrestle crocs and all that but can he wrestle a polar bear?? I think NOT. Seriously, I do like the show, but the man's insane.

I've added a few more restrooms, so now the tourists are happier. However, I spent so much time making the tourists happy that I left the situation in the polar bear exhibit go on too long. Now I have very happy polar bears and no seals...

Yup. It's official. I'm addicted.:D

Video games and beyond

My freshman and Junior year of college I played all the time because roommates had systems. NBA Live 96, Tekken 2, Twisted Metal 2, Mario Cart, James Bond Goldeneye. I got good if not great with all of these. I loved using "Doctor .B" I've played some Warcraft (I+II), Command and Conquer, Starcraft, Doom, Marathon (Mac), Quake, and lots of Civ II. Back in the day I played some Nitendo and Atari. I prefer war strategy. Offline Axis and Allies, Squad Leader, etc. Actually now I even do reenacting. I also gamble so I do poker and go to AC or Vegas on occasion. I’m a loser so I play chess too.

lol! you play with Dr.B?!?! how do you keep him from falling down all the time? :p

i play with ling xiaoyu. and yes, i kick all ass.

Dr. B was the greatest character of all time!!

You have to understand how I play. I don't play video games all that much and my hand-eye coordination was not that great, so I had to rely on strategy. Dr. B was shown to me as an impossible to use joke character, but his weakness became my strength. If you're on the ground all those punchs, jumps, and kicks are useless. I threw people off their game, put them on the defensive, and rang up the victories. It drove "serious" players up a wall.

Actually Ling was my #2 character. I did that cartwheel move to change prespective and hit someone before they could react.

Okay, moving on...

i've spent years of my life mastering ling (pun intended) and you of all people should know that she rules the ground! her flower scissors and lotus blossom can't be beat! :p

Dr. B. is actually very fast, and you're most likely facing my feet (thus my kicks). I'd offer to thump you (in the video game, outside offer still stands), but I have not held any video game control in three years or so.

Do you mean when I use her? My hand-eye coordination. If I try to stand and fight even a beginneer can pick me apart. This is why I prefer chess. I'm not bad with a football though.

Chess is not really a strategic game. It's all about tactics. If chess had an element of having to supply and provision, secure borders, work in with industry and watch the economy... then it might be strategic!

I'm a board gamer -- I'm not really that fond of chess (probably because I just don't think in quite the right way.) But I do love playing board games. My favourite long board game (long as in it takes at least a day to play) would still be Advanced Civilization. For shorter games... oh, some of the modern German ones, they're all good!

Fungiug give me some titles. When I was in college I played those games with my circle, I don't have the chance very often anymore. I've never played "Advanced Civilization" is it the game with countries around the Mediterranean? Or is it along the lines of Sid Meiers?

BunnyB: It takes lots of dedication. You are far from the first to have that reaction. Another popular one is that it's too much work to be fun. It's hard to defend a game you have to study books for hours to get good at. All I can say is I love it and get into it as though its mediation. Of course spanking works the same way for me.

i'll take a spanking over a chess match any day!

The original Sid Meier's Civilization was based on a combination of the Civilization board game, and the Empire computer game. I love 'em both! Although I tend to play Alpha Centauri and Masters of Orion more.

Yeah, Civ and Advanced Civ (they use the same board, Advanced Civ adds some additional rules and cards) are based around the Mediterranean.

Hmmm... Settlers of Catan is really popular here, although I'm a bit bored with it. (There are many variants to the game.) Princes of Florence would be one of my faves at the moment (basically you win by publishing the most works.) We have a cupboard full of board games, and it's a rather tall cupboard too.

Well, I would give rather than take, but otherwise I tend to concur. How's that butt of yours, by the way?
