XssVe's sketchbook

Yeah, I'm gonna have to figure that out - there is some small possibility it might be my monitor, but I haven't figured ot a way to test it yet - I'll try to find one the drawings I scanned on page one, scan it in again, and compare them.

I use PSP, and I haven't found a utility in it that can correct this type of distortion yet. I haven't checked out GIMP in a few years, but I downloaded Inkscape yesterday, looks like fun although I already have Illustrator and an old copy of Streamline, I'll just have to find the disks - vectors are too time consuming for me.

Anyway, here's a couple of tweaks and a rescan:

It's a tough angle on the face, the nose is foreshortened quite a bit.

Yeah it is a tough angle. That version does make they eyebrow look better.

The option to look for would be either "pixel aspect ratio" or simply adjust the "image size" to multiply the height while leaving the width alone. Usually the height and width are linked together, you have to turn that off so you can mess with just the height. (I'm assuming the distortion is consistent for the whole image, not different in different places?)

Right, it's been a while since I've used it, I forgot about turning off the preserve aspect ratio option. Still, it's a pain, I'll have to guess at it.

scan some graph paper of a known size and see what you get. The some simple math will get you back to correct proportions.

I do dig the Voyeur concept! :D

Good idea Throbbs, I'll try that.

I did a correction on this perspective study, 95% width to height.

Looks a little better.

Comments and Crit's always welcome.

Today's perspective study.

No, I'm not obsessed with blowjobs.

Ok, yes I am.

I thought I had till 4pm, here's my blanket, knocked it out while the dog's were out this morning.

all set.
Sorry about that.

and to anyone else who thinks they REALLY have until the stated deadline.

Speaking of later, here's my "Bench":

...or what I had, I didn't get the thing centered on the page very well, it was sort of ad hoc. It's a bit distorted, been so long since I scanned anything, I forgot how to compensate for this stupid scanner.

Here's the new stuff - this mornings sketch, did a little better on the resizing ratio:

Didn't come out too bad, in spite of looking like an Old Navy ad, drawn by a... pervert.

Here, I redid bench real quick, fleshed out the concept a little.

Enjoy.

I'm trying to remember the name of the artist that did this - lots of suburban 60's housewife lesbian MILF humiliation, some Chick named Rebecca, I think, cloned him and does some pretty good stuff in that vein - I copied the theme and the general compositional style, but drew it in my own style.

A few bad lines, but you get the idea.

Woohoo! I'm on a roll:

The Chick with the baster was looking totally demented, I had to actually tone it down.

You'd think that after all these years...

...I'd be able to draw a guy's hand holding his own dick...

Here's a few more from Friday and today.

Yesterday I spent passed on oxycodone, toothache.

So, doing anything for anybody? I'm great? I suck? I should eat worms and die?

Casting about for some new ideas.

Little hard on the Beaver, weren't you Ward?

I guess I like the ideas and poses better than the execution. Often I find your women to be a bit to "neanderthal" (almost mannish) in their faces. You have a distinctive style which doe stake some liberties with anatomy and I do like that at times.

Glad to see you posting more!

Bummer about tooth... something more serious...? in need of root canal?

Yes, I need... drugs.

I like fierce looking women - been hanging about in /h/, I don't care if I ever see another Hentai face.

Here's another along the lines of the last - I should do a story on this.

More werewolf stuff from this morning.

Different angle on that.

New angle.

And a better angle on the last angle.

And about a 20 minute improvised anatomy study, on bigger paper, 11x14.

So what bugs you about this, anything?
