Evil Alpaca was the first author who's work I read on this site that made me appreciate the 'literature' bit more than the 'erotic' (not that his work isn't very erotic, because it is). drksideofthemoon and DanielleKitten are the other two authors I've read so far that really have something special going on. I've got a couple more authors' works bookmarked from recommendations that I'll read shortly as well.

i too am a fan of colleen thomas. i'll have to go and check out some of the others you guys have mentioned. and i have to second rgraham. some of the very first work i ever read here on lit, and still amazing.

in both cases, i felt that the action was hot, but perhaps more importantly, there was good character development and dialogue. the characters really came to life for me.

Favorite Author

My all time favorite author has to be JFinn and her Human Condition series.
Being a hetero male and reading a gay love story, written by a woman is pretty complicated in itself, but she made the characters seem so real, and so easy to identify with. I thought it was absolutely wonderful.
